folks, I just saw Muiris Walsh in a cafe in Clonmel and he looked a picture of health. I have to agree with Tipp Man, something big has happened in Clonmel Town. There is some serious problem there. I don't wish to guess what it is but we were told Muiris stepped away for health reasons, well I can tell you, he looks ok and I spoke to somebody who works with him and he hasn't missed a day.
how did tipp cup final go last night??
if it wasnt for birds and booze id have played for ireland juniors!!!!!
Can anybody shed some light on the story going around that Rock Rovers are to fold?
I have heard this rumour before so I am looking for someone who knows the club to give any info!!
I hope not, but I wouldn't be overly concerned at this stage. There are always rumours at the end of every season that some clubs won't have the wherewithal to get a team together for the start of the following season, but when the chips are down in the last week before registration has to be filled in, minds get concentrated and people start to pull together again. Look at Rosegreen in Division 1.. they put in their papers on the last day for registration and would have had barely a team to put out, but they still came within one result of promotion back to the Premier again this year.
Rock get very bad press on here and in the league in general. Much of it is there own fault, and to be honest, I unfortunately think many of their players actually revel in the "hard team" reputation. It is a pity though, because they actually do have some very fine players if they concentrated on playing football.
Wait till August.. I'll bet they will be back
The rock will still be there next year and if they can repeat the way they played sat night they should finish a lot higher up the table, all they need is two or three players to mount a serious challenge, and after watching clonmel celtic who came so close to winning the league i dont see why not,i have to say i thought celtic were a very poor side, they just seemed happy to play the ball across the back four against 10 men for nearly sixty minutes, they lacked so much going forward, everything was so slow and they just had no ideas on how to break down 10 men.Rock rovers had the two best chances to win the game even with the man sent off so early..
One poor game doesnt make a team a poor side, thats going over board a bit, equally Rocks one good game doesnt make them a good side either. Clonmel Celtic still won the cup and finished 2nd in the league its been a terrific yr for the club. Hopefully more to come if they can build again on this season.
That was not my first seen celtic this season and from what ive seen i dont think there a good side, that is just my opinion, well done on what they have achieved and i agree hopefully they can built on it...
I have heard it said over the weekend that the Rock will fold up also but n all honesty these rumours go around all the time. But that said i wouldn't be surprised either.
You obviously didn't see them away to Janesboro in the Munster Junior or in Cooke Park a few weeks back when they were excellent. I admit for 60 minutes on Saturday they were poor but I would prefer to see them stick to their principles of playing ball rather than resorting to pumping balls into the box. If you're judging your opinion on Celtic on their performances against Rock this year I can see where you are coming from. They also struggled at home to Rock in the league although they took Rovers apart in the second half of a league game in Carrick earlier this season. As they say the table doesn't lie and a team that finishes 3 points behind the league winners are not a poor side unless you consider the overall standard of the TSDL as poor.
will chalky be playing with st michaels or his beloved country the weekend.internationals playing senior team friday night.isint he trying to break the world record for caps and his beloved g.smyth will make sure he does.
Surely Caps won't be given out for a training exercise against the senior side!

If you're in the penalty area and don't know what to do with the ball, put it in the net and we'll discuss the options later
