Thread title changed as it is alarmist in the absence of any proven facts.

Only had a chance to skip through the 12 pages but seems the numbers quoted are still pure speculation. Maybe Foras EGM will see some facts emerge but not sure how any one can provide definitive proof anbout taxes.

If theres one good thing to come from this thread it has left the Corkies know in no uncertain terms what a percentage of people round the country thought & think of them. At least they will have reference points in case they are ever unsure. Just planting seeds folks, planting seeds....................
I just sit down at the typewriter & start hittin the keys, just hittin the keys. Getting them in the right order though thats the trick, thats the trick.

You know the "Thank You" button was a great idea and all, but a "F*ck You, ya Troll" button would be handy for posts like the one above.

we should also have a "told you so" button and a " you thought you were a super league contender but all you were was a club with mounting debts" button .. or would that be to much

That button is just assumed, as chances are every club will eventually find itself in such a position at one point or another....

    How exactly ?

If they hadn't given them a licence how would that make the situation better?

The club would have folded without a licence , going to the A league would not have been an option.

I am sure the Glentoran fans will grow to love him next season.

so was all this Cork City going bust hoop-la a load of sh1te then?
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

And the Mick Cooke getting sacked rumour...
I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"

Simple Answer - Cork aren't in debt. The FORAS meeting on Sunday came to nothing.
