Dundalk fully deserved winners, they had so many clear cut chances and almost suffered the consequences of some poor finishing. I had forgot how annoying Dundalk are to play against constantly throwing themselves down looking for free kicks. Unfortunately it's the way of the modern game and I don't blame them as the were getting rewarded for falling over. I had to laugh when McMillen I think got touched on the edge of the box and let out a massive loud scream got his free and hes all better. I never heard a man scream that loud in my whole life 😆
Sligo are consistently inconsistent it would seem. Other results went as expected with dundalk struggling to put away a 1st division side and boez being flat track bullies.
Hopefully the draw for the next round throws up a few tasty games as this round has been all a bit meh, imo.
What a win for Cork at the showgrounds! Meanwhile Sligo have now lost 4 on the bounce and are out of Europe and the cup, not the best 2 or 3 weeks in the world for them
Great defensive performance from Treaty ,Dundalk dominated as expected and were quite wastful with the numerous chances they had....also a mention for Treaty keeper Ryan brought off several fine saves.
Well im pretty sure you expect the reply that no-one saw a league title win so didnt really happen either;) Unfinished business so let the draw be be good to both clubs for another final day showdown!
The Aviva is our home this year. *crosses fingers*
We were horrific. McNulty even handed us the opener. When we got it back to 2-2 Cork had their first real spell of pressure in the whole game and then got the winner. First attacking subs we made were when they went ahead in injury time. Really, really strange choices made by Buckley again.
The annual DFC FAI Cup final is rolling now, whomever it is against should be very grateful to get a final berth! Dundalk FC v "X" is back on target!
No its written 1 line about what you wrote. I said I never heard a man scream as loud in my life nothing about a foul I said he was touched, jez you've been watching Dundalk far too much if you automatically think if a Dundalk player being touched means a a foul and free kick. You've proven my point sir 🤣🤣
According to RTE Sport Twitter, Waterford want a new challenge and have been drawn to play Tipperary in the Hurling.
