Fair play to Sligo putting out a nicer black and white strip than Dundalk!
Not a fan of the home kit but that Sligo away is absolutely class looking

Rovers are selling goalkeeper jerseys. Is this the first time a LOI club has done this? I don't remember any others.
Thanks, I hadn't noticed that.
Have seen the odd Harps goalkeeper shirt for sale too.
All the Premier clubs who are Umbro are selling them. Same templates for all
Really like that Sligo away jersey. That reminds me of the one dundalk had in the mid 80s with thin black stripes on it!
What do the stars symbolise for Dundalk and Sligo ? Anything in particular ?
For Johnny Chadda on our side “Even if the sun ceases to rise, Even if the winds stops to blow, the name of Sligo Rovers will shine and shine forever like a morning glittering star in the sky.”
Star was added to our crest in 2015 after we won our 10th League of Ireland title.
It's usually for ten league titles or The European Cup.

Nice 3rd kit from Harps supporting a great cause!
Generally its accepted in most leagues, but certainly not mandatory that a club puts (if they want) a star over the crest to indicate 10+ league titles. DFC are on 14, so this went on at the start of the 2015 season when we moved to 10. Its a nice top that Sligo one, but for me it should be behind the neck at the back.
DFC have one for former groundsman who died last year Harry Taffe 'H' in that spot, also for the away top we have JM for Jim Murphy, the club historian who died year before last, in same area, I think that's appropriate.
For Sligo, is this to indicate a poem from a famous fan who has passed on?
