Wonder will Rovers love him like a reptile.

Scales = climbing to new heights.
Allow me to weigh in on this discussion, good signing
We've signed Conor Kearns from UCD.
The next logical step for Kearns , on his seemingly unstoppable route towards his beloved Rovers. He'll enjoy the games against boez anyway!
Liam scales will bring a real balance to the rovers defence
It's still in captivity it appears - Cork fans in lockdown ahead of FORAS meeting tonight?
There must be some fairly explosive stuff to be aired tonight. Censoring the Cork Fans Forum will hardly contain any negative news around the finances or accounting
The most famous fishy LoI player of all?
The one that drives tets made with the puns here?
The Sammon of College
Pike Rovers have to be in this somewhere.
Finn Carps
Ciaran Gallagher the latest to announce his departure from Harps.
Squad already looking fairly decimated.
Dean Jarvis en route to "closer to home"
https://www.dundalkfc.com/jarvis-departs-club/Quote:
Dean has decided to move closer to home to be closer to his young family. We wish him well. He has been an integral part of the league winning squad over the past two years. We wish him well in his future career and he will always be welcome back at Oriel Park.
Sligo sign Darragh Noone
Drogs sign Hugh Douglas - Brays POTY
85K to the Revenue (sorted), 400K in pure debt.
https://www.irishexaminer.com/breaki...19-967252.html
400k in losses in 2019, no? As opposed to debt?
This is correct. Circa -400k in P and L in 2019, mostly due to lower than expected gates. We had accumulated profits before 2019 that offsets those losses to an extent.
The Revenue thing is from several years ago, was paid in 2018 and is due to be published by revenue in December. It relates to VAT incorrectly claimed back. Apparently several sports clubs had similar issues from around that time, all misinterpreting the same rule. I'm not 100% sue what happened there to be honest, they tried to explain it but it wasn't clear.
That was published while the meeting was still ongoing, so someone was in contact with the paper from within the room. They published without speaking to the BOM for a quote on it, without giving them a right to reply. It also didn't have a byline, so not attributed to anyone in particular. Really poor from from a club partner (was originally published by the Echo). Its even worse because several journalists were in the room as members at the time and they felt the need to confirm they weren't responsible, where obviously there is a degree of suspicion from the rest of the membership.
Garry Buckley signed from Cork to Sligo Rovers.
Feeder club role reversal?
According to Jamie McDonagh it's between ourselves and Derry for where he'll end up next season, though working off what he said he seems to just be using us as leverage to get a better offer off Derry. Would be a good signing all the same.
We're also getting linked to Shane Griffin which I'm a little less enthused by.
Come on now EL P, don't be dressing this down, this is a significant loss to your m/f, and a decent move by Sligo, I think you'll find they are very happy with this.
It is pity though on the losses figures, a lot of that is down to the large decrease in your attendances, from a very healthy and league best avg of around 4,500, this must have dropped by around 2,000, if you apply even a tenner a head, that’s a drop of around 360K in a year alone over 18 home games.
I think DFC will show / report a loss this year, but that will be offset by the monies P6 are putting in, they’ll certainly be looking for more than 1.1M from Europe next year, they’ll get a better chance to earn this with obviously better quality players coming in, word is we are after a striker from England, no details on where or who this is mind.
Based on his recent performances many city fans were screaming for him to leave. He was very poor in 2019 (not the only one mind). There is near unanimous agreement that we are glad to see the back of him. I'm not saying thats entirely logical, or fair to Garry, and I think a change of scenery may well do him good, but if he plays like he did in recent seasons then Sligo fans will not be happy with this signing.
That's a little disrespectable to be fair, 'glad to see the back of him' the guy won a double two years ago.
I'd be pointing the finger at how he was coached or the overall attitude within training if I was a Cork fan, said it before many times, just what did the coaching staff do last year, this is a club paying decent wages over 52 weeks and morning training. It would appear zero motivation from the staff.
Gary Buckley seems to go through phases.
He might be outstanding for a few games & even score in them. His form will then drop off completely & he will look like he doesn't care. It isn't just last season.
He's always been like that throughout his career so maybe a change of scenery will work for him in the short term but it won't last.
You seem very disgruntled, "Disgruntled".
But we'll see how it works out for him in the Showgrounds.
No. Pretty much Hulsey said in his post but no split opinions about him from Shels fans and he was playing in a lower division then when he was at Bray. Though if there was one manager currently in the league who may have a chance to get the best out of him it would be Buckley
Confirmed that Lee Grace is staying with Rovers.
