Thought Luca Connell might get a run out tonight for Celtic given that they're 5-0 up after the first leg. Not even on the bench despite a load of changes being made to the team. They're home to St Johnstone on Saturday, if he's not in that squad either it's probably a sign that he won't be playing much for Celtic in the next few months. Could do without him being stuck in a reserve team that don't have a reserve league to play in - Coffey and Okoflex are in the same situation, terrible for their development.
Another impressive cameo by Parrott, came on midway through second half. Hit the post on 85th minute as well. Can find highlights on YouTube
Idah on in 86th minute vs Atlanta. Would expect him to see some prem league action this side of Christmas judging by his preseason
Lads, are the odds not better than 50/50 that 3 teenage Irish strikers appear in the Premier League before Christmas? I would say the combined chances of Parrott, Idah and Obafemi are very strong. That's leaving out Afolabi (depending on the club he lands at) and Connolly (hasn't been getting much game time with the first team this pre season).

Long and Hendrick started for Burnley in 6-1 win vs Nice. Dunne came on. Long with solid game, Hendrick with a goal. https://www.lancs.live/sport/footbal...rnley-16672209
Troy Parrott's Spurs are playing Ryan Johansson's Bayern Munich on ITV4 tonight at 7:30
Decent hour on the field for Johannson, very tidy in possession, had some nice touches, he keeps the ball and links play well. Certainly didn't look out of place tonight.
On the negative side he's not the quickest around the park and doesn't seem to have too much of a defensive side to his game.
I'm probably a traditionalist in that I like my Irish internationals hareing around the park like lunatics - he's definitely not that kind of player but he looks like someone who could do well once he fills out a bit and adds a bit more to his game.
I cannot remember a more positive pre-season for young Irish players. Most good international football teams have 3-4 very good players, we may soon have the same. Could we have a more talented group than that which broke through prior to the 2002 World Cup?
Its very early to say but of the current crop you would hope at least a handful turn out to be top quality premiership footballers. At present it would be hard to argue that both Parrott and Obafemi can't establish themselves as regulars at their respective Premiership clubs if they can stay injury free. Both look top class. Molumby looks to have all the attributes of being a top player but he now needs a good season at Millwall to prove it and kick on. Crowley the same at Birmingham.
Of the rest I'd think Connolly has had a disappointing pre-season and he needs a loan and some game time before we really know how good he can be. Idah has potential but looks raw, again a loan is probably his best option. Alofabi has talent but needs to pick a club where he will get some game time. Luca Connell is still young but I personally think going to Celtic was not in his best interests. He would be better served developing his talent in a more competitive league against stronger opposition. Knight will likely be floating around the subs bench for Derby at the start of the season so let's see if he can soon make a claim for a starting place. Nathan Collins has time on his hands but you would expect he will get some more first team action this season even if it's not at Stoke. O'Shea will get some game time at West Brom this year but is unlikely to be starter when the season kicks off. Masterson is unlikely to start the season near the QPR first team but maybe he can force his way into the team as the year progresses.
Really looking forward to seeing if barrett can continue what seems to have been very good preseason form into staying in reading first team
