1,428 at Bray Vs Shels
435 for Limerick Vs Galway United
Shels were well worth their win.
1300-1500 in the showgrounds would be a decent guesstimate.
600+ given as Longford attendance tonight, not a hope there was that many there. Appalling attendance and dreadfully flat atmosphere until the goal. Feel sorry for the players, deserve better
Might have been more Dundalk fans in Finn Park than home fans, dreadful support, pointed out from far out that it was a bad night to play it yet we did anyway ....
2336 I thought they said
For a game between 2nd and 4th the crowd looked shocking in Tallaght.
2560 in tallaght and 782 from extra time.ie. whatever the pros of summer football the crowds have consistently dropped badly in those months since it started.
The whole fixture list is a mess and kills attendances. These 3rd round of games just see the attendances drop like a stone. The having loads of games really close together followed by big gaps between games is just a recipe for poor attendance. But of course nothing will change because we've a bunch or willfully ignorant muppets running the league.
Probably be even worse this year because some fixtures were moved on the basis of clubs being in Europe - but now it's Pat's, not Waterford, who are there, so there may well be more postponements to come.
