I added the clubs Youtube page, if thats any use.

It's not the INPHO-credited photos I'm referring to but TV coverage. I said they have no problem with sites using screen grabs of match action or interviews with players/managers once it is credited. That is RTE property.
That membership offer is ****ing hilarious.
And, yeah, if they're looking to conduct commerce they have to pay for the photos they use.
Im sure INPHO are fit and capable of contacting the site owners themselves but if the inadverent theft is an issue for your good self wing an email off via the site contact details with your concerns. I wasnt trying to deflect things off myself when I said that I have no involvement so feel free to contact those who are involved via the site (as I have no further details eg direct email) with any and all observations and opinions. I myself questioned the folly of the membership costs, for example, for the very reason given by outspoken. Maybe there is more to the membershp that i am not aware of that is of value - if so, that it is not apparent is an issue in itself. As for copyright or ownership of media I haven't a notion!
It was just a heads up. Jeez
Fair enough! The first line though is worded in a manner that seems less like a heads up and more like a finger wagging. Reading back my own post comes across as unnecessarily defensive whereas I should have just said mail the site and give 'em a heads up. I did as it happens send a FB message with the link to this thread to the design person, so at least he will have the observations. Whether it changes anything remains to be seen as I doubt he has much to do with content. Its a pity actually as the site was well intentioned if misguided with the membership stuff and causing people to think that it was a money making thing. I really dont think that was the case tbh.
Fair enough. I suggested you do it as you're familiar with one of the lads involved rather than me just coming across as a ***** about it (considering I've already criticised them for other stuff)
Had a look at the leagueofireland.ie website today.
Before I start, I really want these lads do to well, more coverage of the league is always welcome, but they really would want to keep an eye on some of the cringe posted on there, and the use of some pictures is still questionable.
Today, there was an article posted on Wexford Youths and how they're naturally going to win the First Divsion..with a picture of a computer generated image of a main stand in Ferrycarraig, the article also claiming 'fantastic setup' there.
The other story that stuck, as posted in another thread, was their 'exclusive' story that RTÉ are covering Cork v Dundalk live on TV. This despite many other sites also promoting as such, as well as FAI emails out on it.
re the live match exclusive- they tweeted the cork v dundalk to be a live match on friday at about 9:45pm.
That still doesn't make it exclusive.
Clubs were told and clearly the lad involved is a Dundalk fan so got his info there. No big deal either way

Story with the Galway forum ?
Galway United Forum is currently unavailable
http://galwayunitedfc.net/
It may or may not be - Leaseholder says it's my pitch and ye're not playing on it
Changed the Galway forum to the new one. Any other updates required let me know.
Not strictly LOI but....

Always found this forum to be very friendly & is decent for keeping track on LOI players who now play in the NIFL.
Handy also for getting info on players who maybe signing from the North to your team.
Same signing up criteria as here but don't think you can view it if you're not a member?
The old forum http://galwayunitedfc.net/ is now back up and running again under the management of GUST. All old profiles/posts are still intact.

Hello
Is there a comprehensive LOI results, including line ups if possible, archive resource available anywhere ?
Any help much appreciated.
No, not online anyway. In fact I'd say most clubs don't even have historical line ups
best thing is go to your own library and get access to results, scorers and lineouts. Thats where I get my info from for the stats on our website.
Any gaps the national library of ireland in kildare st is excellent -I believe they stock all newspapers and can be more comprehensive than the local library ie in my case The Longford Leader went on strike for 9 mths in 1983 and I couldnt get access to the Longford News in 1983 in Longford Library but the National Library have it!
any questions dont hesistate to ask me!
New site dedicated to profiles of Dundalk players from the period 1926 to 1996. Approx 375 profiles and includes statistics and photos.

Do any teams/fans in the First Division do highlights? I remember Shels did a few years ago but that seems to be gone. The First Division is easily forgotten as it is so just wondering is there a way to follow it more closely for the people who want to?
Travels With The Blues is an online blog that follows Waterford United around. They usually have some sort of highlights of games.
Limerick have done highlights for their first two games this season.
ShelsTV covers the odd game here and there now, nothing like it used to though unfortunately.
Cabinteely put up their own goals from time to time on their Facebook page.
Cobh Ramblers sometimes put up goals on Facebook or Youtube. From an awkward angle though, seemingly on top of the clubhouse or something behind the goals.

Added those to the UCD section on page one.
Any word on a new Waterford website? waterford-united.ie seems to have bitten the dust, but is still listed on Wiki as the official site, and "waterford FC" is just redirecting to Waterford United.
Any updates here? Not only is Waterford defunct, so is Athlone ...
Post the new sites and I'll update the original post.
Do most LOI supporters clubs just stick to having Facebook page or twitter account or any with actual websites?
The long wait is over. Waterford's new website is live. www.waterfordfc.ie
New podcast launched today called the Between the Stripes LOI podcast. For anyone familiar with BTS (www.betweenthestripesblog.wordpress.com) it's an unofficial longford town fans site but this podcast, while focusing on Longford for periods each week, is a general LOI and Irish football podcast. Guests this week of note include Stephen Henderson and Nathan Kelly from Eir sport. Youl have to forgive certain bits of sound quality especially the phone interviews as we are still waiting on the correct equipment to arrive. Overall tho not bad for total newbies to this craic. Massive shout to Nigel for helping us get set up. Any and all support appreciated as we are doing this from our own pocket.
