It's the wrong side of the season too for clubs having "free" weekends. Come into winter and pitches unplayable for a 2 month period it'll be a serious backlog of games into spring.
Why is it that there were no mid-week games pushed this summer? Was always the case and most clubs would be happy to get games played as early in season as possible.
Refs get allocated to a league for the season.
There is a shortage
That explains it so. Fair enough considering covid.
7 League games (off) weekend 17-19 Sep.
I wonder how the league gets itself out of the current situation?
Half of the games in AUL aren’t going ahead these days. Doesn’t seem to be happening in CBL and MsL.
We’re they all off because of no refs again?
Article online on the echo with Eddie McNally talking about the shortage of refs.. Not looking good.
Coachford definitely going senior next season after they rip up cork for 1 year class club I'd say Aul gone in 2 seasons .
There was a shortage of good ref now thers just no refs . .
Pathetic joke is a bit much, standard in football at all levels has dropped considerably. There are players now playing week in week out in the munster senior league in their late 30's that were only playing junior in their peak. Referees are getting too much abuse lads that's why there is a shortage, leagues should bring in heavy fines to clubs that fail to control their lines and that includes club members and supporters
The question is how do you get more refs on board.
We are fine hurlers on the ditch saying this lad is poor or the other is poor very few willing to put on the refs jersey in the finish
I agree with most of what you say but some refs are a joke not all but 3or 4 wer very agenda driven ..but I guess it was the money with them ... either way lose coachford and it huge on the back of covid
Desperate guys do desperate things .
Another disappointing weekend of cancellations.
Shocking for everyone involved who were delighted to have games back after COVID.
It will be really those teams who can try to stay on top of things who will succeed come the other side of Xmas.
We’re those games COVID cancellations or referees shortages.
I know the school boys lost over 10 games today due to referee shortages
How is losing Coachford the be all and end all, sort out the referee situation and we will be on the pigs back again. How many rounds are there in cork in the fai cup?
