The fact that it’s going to an EGM suggests it’s being given some thought.
What will stop it is, for once, the ‘big’ clubs being outvoted by the ‘small’ clubs.

The crowd that brought up summer soccer and for some reason seem to be driving it ballysteen are the very crowd who’ll have no team or a very poor one if there’s a football match on . Most clubs are happy as is but tighten up the season a month or so . Last August to mid June nearly 11 months was the longest junior league in Ireland this year .
The main focus of the league should be 3 divisions not 4 and less blanket postment weekends when some teams pitch’s are fine .
If this league doesn't change to a summer season it will be gone in the next decade. The interest is dying out and to say it will clash with the football, it already f#@*ing does in the current format!!!!
anybody have info on the new KB amalgamation and how that would work? is it across the board or just junior
It was decided at the AGM that the vote would not go ahead as it "would be the biggest decision this league will ever vote upon thus far". The league are going to send out detailed info on what exactly is to be voted on i.e. Format, breaks for exams etc.
Arguement of GAA clashing for me is not a valid one as hurling and football in west Limerick ran into late October/early November, 21s hurling started in November and finished in January, then hurling and football training started back end of January with league starting in end of Feb? What's the difference is soccer changes to CALENDER Soccer? Not much I think, the month of July will be the only month now that wasn't played before. Soccer will stop in Oct/Nov and start back up Feb/Mar (depending on what format the league go with, which could be same as schoolboys which is taking a break in July and start of august for hols?).
As Shearer pointed you may lose a teams but more than likely will lose names and they will amalgamate but I'd take quality before quantity any day. The FAI as pushing this for junior from 2020 onwards, so is probably coming anyway. I think the vote will be a lot closer than people think especially after the season we just had!
Don’t know if it was mentioned but the Munster Champions Trophy draw was done a few weeks ago.
Abbeyfeale got a bye in the second round, here’s the first round draw:
1st Round
Killarney Celtic (Kerry) v Janesboro (Limerick)
Brideview Utd (WWEC) v UCC Utd(Cork B&S)
Newmarket Celtic(Clare) v Ringmahon Rgs (MSL)
It only finished up last month...i would think very few would have appetite to get back into training this early. The season is too long as it Is!!! End of the month I'd be guessing for the better teams and August then for the rest about a fortnight before the league starts 😆
Long season alrite and fellows need a break..I know there is a few back, broadford were back last nite.. had 3/4 New lads by all acc. Heard ratkeale back next wk.. who is Newcastle town management team for coming season?
Heard Newcastle west were back last week also. Bit early to be going back training after barely finishing the season
Heard today that few players are leaving Rathkeale to go back to play with their home towns . Like Adare boys going back to them etc
