I’m surprised we haven’t had this Award before now, given the huge number of outstanding candidates. Feel free to nominate. Mine is this red card from Pats v Wexford on Friday.

5 months and 18 days late of April 1st. I like it. I'd go with Han's sending off vs Sligo. Barely a yellow, and then he gets chest barged out of the box, and then red carded. Couldn't have red carded him in the box? No son, I'm gonna make an example of you now
From the same Pats v Wexford game, this penalty decision also has to be a contender. Even though it favoured my team.

This red card in Ferrycarrig in April 2021 has to be one of the worst of all time. I was down that end of the stand in Ferrycarrig at the match and couldn't say with any certainty that the ball was the wrong side of the 18 yard line when it was handled by Jimmy Corcoran in the Wexford goal.

I know it's not recent, but this is one I will always remember as utterly shambolic, having witnessed it live. Anthony Buttimer, who else? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZ5C...annel=Gleth678
(From 1:12 - 1:35). Clearly impeded by striker, no protection, ref 20 yards away at most, SRFC score an easy tap-in. Of course he was angry (Barry Ryan), but AB lost the plot. Galway lost that match 6-0. Chanting "AB you're a W*****, you're a W*****" while being 6-0 down lives long in the memory also.Things haven't changed at all. Lads like Tomney are the new Buttimer.

Well worth a read.
