I think it's just the FAI being the FAI really. Or did the Euros schedule change since the LoI fixtures were drawn up?

The clubs having some games before European matches makes some sense. Having direct clashes with the Euros makes no sense at all.
That wouldn't affect the First Division though. Who presumably would be even more vulnerable if put up against the Euros (given fewer fans and lower standard). No reason why both leagues need to go on a break at the same time.Quote:
