Could have been worse, you could have said his form was up and down.....

Portadown have alway been known to be great payers. They have several local business who are very generous. Unfortunately they were found out making dodgy payments and paid the price and are now rebuilding. So if he gets the same money or more (in sterling) he's better off financially. He was your player, you had him, you should have did more to keep him. He left after 6 weeks which is better than staying and not giving 100%.
Jonathan Afolabi to Bohs…
A signing that sounds great until attention is paid to his goals record. If he wasn't even standing out in second/third tier Scotland I wouldn't be expecting him to run amuck here from Day 1 either.
Mmmm, Glen Crowe didn’t score too many before he came home either!
And I’d say him and Junior might cause a few headaches!
Mr Doyle had a good record outside our league yet doesn’t seem prolific here either….
To be fair I said at the time that I thought Doyle was on the downswing and that his multi-year contract was a disaster in waiting. Bohs might be fortunate to see Afolabi trending the other way but if he's not doing much in the Scottish third tier in his last loan (2 goals in 12 in a part-time league?) there's no real reason for excitement either.
That's fair actually though he was a little bit better (about a goal in every 4 to Afolabi's 1 in 5). 🙂
Afolabi was generally deemed a lazy striker until he suddenly caught a wind about 19. A few decent underage Ireland performances, a move, and then the hard graft. Hard graft is just that, hard, and Afilabi was never a grafter, so let's wait an see. Last chance saloon, and if I was a Bohs fan, I'd be skeptical. Having said all that, a very similar player to Omochere, both ex Joeys, but Omocjere found a work rate. Let's wait and see.
I find it gas the stick Eoin Doyle gets. His linkup play has probably been his best attribute this season yet he’s still only 1 goal off top scorer in the league. Not sure what that says about all the other strikers in the league if a 'poor' 34 year old Doyle is outperforming the majority of them
I think maybe expectations were very high because of his reputation. I’m still a bit on the fence myself. His general play has been good and as you say he’s got more goals than perhaps people realise. He misses a lot though. Thursday being the latest example.
Thursday in fairness was when you really wanted a cool experienced head up front too
Has the transfer window now closed?

How many points are Shels looking to be gifted for this?
Sounds like they'll have to keep paying him until next season. That's an expensive mistake on someone's part.
