Embarrassment of riches, Olé. :D
That would be super though, delighted with this transfer. Hopefully Kevin O'Connor gets a shot with Preston now too.

Amazing to think that just over a year ago our list of active Premier League defenders consisted of Coleman, O'Shea (nearing the end of his career) and Ward. If things go according to plan, next season it looks like we'll have nine (with the possibility of Masterson joining them).
When was the last time this guy played for us?
February 2013, 2-0 win against Poland: https://www.fai.ie/ireland/news/irel...in-over-poland
Is he injured? Is it not a bit unusual calling up a RB as a replacement for a LB (Cyrus for Stevens)?

Should be back around the end of NovemberQuote:
Greg has had a scan. He is going to be out for four to six weeks. We are certainly not going to see Greg this side of the (November) international break, which we expected.
he played extremely well in a high-impact and decisive match, in a position on the pitch where he is an expert, and the Republic needs a valid option.
Cardiff lost 2-0
Scores for Preston with a quality finish off a good cross field ball from Alan Browne.
Good to see him back and playing well.
I haven’t been his biggest fan but that was a hell of a goal. Nice ball by Brown as well to set him up. Nice to see a few Irish guys playing together in a decent squad.
injuries have blocked him from being the new Jim Beglin
Just the third start in 2023/4 for Cunningham tonight, on the left of a back three for Preston v Southampton.
Started again v Hull City, but off injured after 32 minutes.
