Anyone tell me what the final score was?
I know it was 3-0 at half-time after 2 gaffs by the keeper and 1 by the centre-back but i havn't got a clue what the final score was as I had to leave early.
Just found out that they lost 5-1:eek:
brutal, some gulf in class between the two
They were crap, city were leaps and bounds ahead of ramblers.
not good news :(
I was down there myself. There was a gulf but City had 2 or 3 pro's on the pitch!

You are right there were pro's, but City score three goals in 5 mins just before half time and they were all errors by the goalkeeper and a midfield player, Second half another error by cobh player..

Remember Cobh had a few under 16's and 17's on the team and on the bench.

Also they never recovered when they lost a few players throughout the year.

Cobh have two players that are good enough to step up to another level within cobh.

The differance between the two is coaching and fitness levels

that was morse code, over:D
I was wondering what that was.
Ha wat was going on there??? Who are the two players good enough to move upta another level???
There is also 5 under 16 players on that squad. The fella who scored ramblers goal was under 16, and other subs that came on are also under 16.
Who were the better players for ramblers???
There were none. Simple as. 1 to 11 were very poor.
The young fella who scored was John Corcaran
I taught the best player for cobh was the defender mooney...
3 young fellas who came on played well considering the standard of football that city were playing.
Bruton was physio and i think young Peter o Halloran was keeper coach:rolleyes:
A lot of goals but i taught it was a very boring game(probably because they got hammered)
Best player on the pitch was the streaker,he made no mistakes in what he did and made a great run across the box..I heard hes well payed too..€80:eek:
Yes John Corcoran is only 16....
the lad mooney looked good and up for it, problem was the tackling, he was far too eager to get there first and got caught loads, still though had a lot of passion about him.
The best players in the two youth teams IMO,
Peter O'Halloran, streets above the lot.
Stevie Bruts, alot of potential about him.
Emmet O'Hanlon, very good player.
Connie Murphy has some lovely touches too, maybe under 20s could improve him fair bit.
20s team will be interesting Kyle Downing and Martin Deady still underage for them too so they should have a strong team, with local interest too
