im coming out of retirment, but dont tell hendo i told ye
mojo to sign, fantastic signing, very mobile good in the air a real find
this is the only board mojo is capable of putting points on:eek::D:cool:
best guess, gregg o halloran
Would love to know where they got that article from..............
Its a puzzler. The article says its a LOI player, but the transfer window is closed and theres no way we'd be eligible for an emergency transfer. So, either its an unregistered LOI player (maybe playing MSL this season) or someone with LOI experience who has been playing abroad (season about to finish in England). I'd say that rules out Greg O'Halloran as he's registered at Shels.
Been scouring round some other forums and the one name that jumps out is Cathal Lordan, was released by City over the winter but has been playing for them in the Futsal. However, he doesn't quite fit the midfield/centre-half description in the article - I'd say he's more midfield/fullback. I remember he was been slagged on this forum when his name came up as a possible signing before Xmas. But we all know how some players just can't get on at City and maybe with some appreciation and fresh coaching we could see the best of him?
Any other ideas who it could be????
None.
I'm confused about this one too and concerned that infomation of such a nature can filter it's way to a media type before being placed on the official site if ya follow me. It shouldn't happen that way at all. I've had this before and it's bloody annoying to say the least.
Could all be speculative rubbish, i.e. someone thought they might have overhead Hendo say he'd like to sign someone, he told his buddy about it, who told the postman, who told his mother, etc, etc, until someone told the fella who posted up the article... Somehow doubt this came from any official source.
It's Greg O'Halloran.
rumour mill is going to explode, its going round so fast. i will wait and see but i dont expect anything to happen until july, unless we get some sunderland players comin on loan
then the trail goes cold:D
hope its greg o halloran, would be a very welcome addition in my books anyway.
What posiition does Greg normally play at?
ya greg o hall would be a good option but if i had a choice would be to get darren murphy back maybe on loan or something, class act and hes waisted at city
Imo i think it might be a player closure to home???????
How can it be Greg O'Halloran, he is playing with Shels on Loan at the moment, he can not join another team in a non transfer window period unless, Galway called him back and they released him.
yes i here the players in the closure region have the most ability:D
My guess would be 'Brian O'Callaghan', played with Cork City last season, was released by Halifax a few months back and can play centre defense and midfield.
take darren murphy back any day too. ASctually heard he was interested not so long back
presume this was a hoax or was he talking about the new press secretary
hardly play this week will he
O'Halloran cannot play till june either way.
Of all the names mentioned so far, only Brian O'Callaghan and Cathal Lordan are eligible to play for us ahead of the transfer window. We ruled out O'Callaghan becasue he went back to England in January, but he has since been released by Halifax. Lordan is missing in action, last seen playing Futsal for City.
I'd guess its O'Callaghan.
still signed for Galway only on loan to shels so couldnt play till July.
