Headed back to Cork the previous couple of times, so don't really know Cobh. What's good? Preferably traditional enough kind, and if there's a lock in going, all the better. ;)

my 21st live music dj afterwards in a secet venue :) u come can depending on the result!
lockins are hard to call, a pub could do one every night for 6 months and then not do one, but Jack Doyles (JDs) is a good bet or mansworths (i think havent been there for years) both are just down the hill from the ground, not even 5 minute walk, or the clubhouse is probably the best bet no travel involved, you could book into the com and just stay up all night in the residents bar:D
No you see, that's exactly what I wasn't looking for as "traditional" ;)
Happy birthday though. Hope we score a cracker for you.
Was in the clubhouse for a pint last time; want to head down the town a bit though as I've never really seen much of it.
Will have a look at the couple up here anyways. Cheers.
Paul O Hallorans (Ryans in Square) You wont beat it...
kellys is always a good option,
Ryans bar would be your best bet, very friendly and they're is usually a good crowd in there on a friday evening
Ryans is the best a lot of gaa heads is the only problem
na its the only pub in town that is considered traditional. small, cosy and the fire is always on out the back. plenty of pictures on the walls to keep ya interested aswell.
if ya want to go down town ryans and kellys are good, always good crowd, if ya want a few young ones go to the keys (careful there extremely fertile:D), and the rob is a liverpool pub if your into that, if you want somewhere to drink by the ground either the clubhouse or JDs are good options
Friday night is darts night in Cobh so if your a fan then try either the Wolfe Tone, Jack Doyles, Quarry C*ck, Mauretania or The Village Inn.
My advice would be to go to the Quarry C*ck if ya like quality darts or if ya like crap darts and good banter go the Mauratania where R14 takes up residence on a Friday night.
staying away from mauritania so is a must lol:D
the net is closing cant drink in mauritania, cant shop in ballincollig, he must feel like the 96fm fugitive:D
Thats why I told him go to the Quarry.
can you see ucd strangers walking into the quary c&ck, dont do that to them
that bloody bar will get us banned, i now see why you are using just the first name:D
I don't understand why we can't say c*ck. I mean it's only a name of a bar!
and something you wouldnt know about, bar the fact you are one!!!!!:D:D
I don't care what's it's like inside, there's no way I'm going into a pub called the Quarry Cóck. The gay steel mill in the Simpsons is all I can think of!
Many many years ago we used to go to Maguires, a pub on the square and it seemed good. owever, that was many years ago and it probably isn't there anymore.
We used to go down every summer and play a game against the screws on Spike Island. Great sessions afterwards in that pub and then up to the Commodore Hotel for the disco....
Mad we were...Mad!!;)
maguires pub is still there but it called tarants now, maguire himself is the manager of the clubhouse now,
