After seeing the nominations for goal of the month last night on MNS, it has to be between St. Pats' Keith Fahey and Cobh's Kieran O'Reilly.
Both brilliant goals but can't decide which is better.
What do you people out there think?

1 Fahey
2 O'Reilly
No contest fahey should win it. You'd be hard pushed to see a goal like it for the rest of the season
I'd go for Fahey's goal.
Has to be Fahy.
It has to be fahy really .:ball:
what 98% of the others here have said so far
The only thing I'd say is that Kieran O'Reilly's goal was scored against a much more solid defence.
Fahy definitely. Watch the technique, particularly the position of his foot as he strikes it.
Fahey. Takes class to score like that against Bohs :p
Pity Fitzgerald did finish that chance off for UCD against Cork. Would have been the best goal for many a season. Scored one like that at U-13s. Still living off it now ten years gone :D
It looks like Fahey's award but he already got player of the month so share the wealth I say.
It's safe to say the other goals (good as they were) don't come near so?
Hmm, let me think... Fahey from 40 yards or O'Reilly from 6 yards?
hmmm,, let me start by saying that im under absolutely no illusion faheys goal was by far the best of this month and will take some serious beating this season, and i voted for both fahey as a EL(mns) fan and reilly for ramblers. but your comment there about reillys goal was such a stupid comment. Anybody with a footballing brain would appreciate the class of reillys goal the technique involved and the difficulty in scoring such a header, at that height, with the power in the volly cross/shot, the angle and the fact it had to be a diving header. Im not having a cut just for ramblers but by god think a bit more when your posting that comment really frustrated me. BTW another pats goal on it, was from even closer and was a absolute fantastic goal, yet again for footballing reason.
A-hem, rant over!!!
Hynes goal for Sporting Fingal verses Longford Town.
i would have picked john kearneys goals VS drogheda (from kick-off) but it was ruled out,
so, fahey deffinately, reillys was class, but faheys was better.

Long-range piledriver from John Lester!
Shame it won't feature since it was the league!!
Edit: 1.52 of the clip
Very Fahey-esque. Good work on getting the highlights edited and online so quickly. Five Longford players in the box when the penalty was taken...
Wow!!! Over forty yards I'd say if you take the angle into account. Narrowly denied another screamer in the first half too.
Cheers for that Gilberto. Things are looking up at Terryland.
Yeah me too, I think it was wrongfully ruled out to, I can't remember.
Ian Morris of Scunthorpe scored a similar goal to Fahey's last weekend, just though I'd mention it
I swear this is the first I've seen of you don ramo which is odd as you have more than 1,000 posts. Do you not get to the Ireland forum much? I don't get in here much which is likely half the reason
Foyzer's was better against drogs:D

(the 2nd goal)
Have to say I thought Heary's goal was excellent - little time, no room to maneouvre and minimal backlift - all dismissed for an excellent finish. Fahey's technique was class, I'd say Murphy was less than happy to be beaten by the strike. It will prevail for its dramatic effect; who's judging the competition or is it a viewers vote?
It's picked by an MNS panel and the viewer's choice to match the panals' and picked out of a hat etc. etc. will win tickets to the Serbia game hurrah!!!!
cant see anything but faheys goal winning in fairness ;)
kendricks wasnt too bad either, great run
So it was Fahey's goal that won it in the end.....big surprise.
Well done Keith.
