Only LOI sides in the Shield. 4 non-league sides join afterwards. I think Shield has north & south divisions?
The 'A' League Shield fixtures for Harps are as follows:
30th March -v- Derry City (home)
6th April -v- Sligo Rovers (home)
27th April -v- Derry City (away)
11th May -v- Sligo Rovers (away)
Harps / Derry / Sligo are in Group 4. Group winners progress to semi-finals with winners of Group 4 facing Drogheda / Bohemians / Shamrock Rovers in a home semi-final on 25th May. Final scheduled for the first weekend in June.
Does anyone know if there is a website for this league. Tried to find one but no joy.

Should be a good turn out for the Big Derby in group C. anyone know where Boh's are playing home games?
Great history in Group D - dunno if there will be many out for the A League Shield games though, considering how well they are being advertised.
If Pats are playing in Richmond I'll definitely catch a few
Nice to see the three NW teams grouped - a chance for our kids to kick some ass!
Long trip down for Galway to Play Us (Cork city) and Cobh.
Is it just coincidence that Galway are the only team to have such long trips.
Anyone know why Tullamore, Mrevue and Salthill aren't in the Shield?
AFAIK, their junior league seasons are still in progress.
City v Ramblers at Bishopstown at 12 noon on Sunday less than a day after first teams play at St Colmans Park the night before.
What happened to the suggestion that some of the Divison 1 teams were going to put forward A League sides? Or are they still going to but for some reason excluded from the Shield?
thouht the A league was basically to get the teams on the verge of the loi in the picture wher are kerry league?
that does'nt answer my question?
what about the teams that the loi needs
The shield is just a filler tournament before the A league starts. AFAIK no Kerry team applied for the league, so they won't be entering
kerry league wont be in A league anyhow as they dont have any underage set up. The fai are hoping some of the top clubs in county apply instead
As people have already said, this is the shield, and not the league. When the league starts, three smaller clubs join in.
The way the A league works is this: every year there's a call for new clubs. Any club can respond. Then there's a licensing process. Pass that and you're in the league. So to answer your question, either the Kerry league didn't want to enter a team or they didn't pass licensing.
Makes the league cup seem a bit strange:confused: You'd have thought the new A-leaguers would be invited to join. How did Kildrum qualify (I know this place has been Fanad's in the past)?
Pure speculation but are we likely to see something along these lines when the A League-proper starts?

Going geographically, one group is likely to be stronger than the other but are there special considerations for non-league clubs (seeing as they will be going for promotion)?
Would it not have been an idea to have them play earlier on in the day on Saturday as a taster for the main event? Haven't seen Colemans this season to know if the pitch would be up to it, but if they ran it as a day long affair, say the A teams going up against each other on Saturday at 12, have some event on in town pitting Ramblers fans against Cork fans (pub orientated if needs be), and then all back out to Colemans for the main match.
I'm sure the town would be happy of the extra revenue, Cobh would make a bit more money from the earlier kick off with the increased number of fans, and everyone would have a decent day out in Cobh
Here is the full run down on fixtures
I wonder what Citys line up will be? Does anyone know if there is a full squad list for Citys reserves?
Nothing from what i can see on the Cork city website. But i would imagine City's Reserve squad would include players like McNulty, Kelly, Darren Murphy, Darragh Ryan, Softic, Meyler, Kiely, Tierney, Colin T, Woods, Alan O'Connor would feature along with upcoming stars from the youth team and players coming back from injury
Having Colin T and Woods in there is a great bonus, great experience and younger lads will learn alot from them.
bohs 1 drogheda 0, jason avin and shane barrett both played the full 90
