Is your match on tonight or tomorrow?
Tomorrow @ 7.45 in Ferrycarrig Park.
Cheers...
I think it's actually at 8 - just wasn't sure about the date.
I guess you'll have a weak enough team out with the BIG match at the weekend!
How many do you expect for the game - do you think it could be the biggest crowd ever?
not ever but certainly in the last few years!!!!
grow up boy will ya, petty bull****.in fact our record home attendance is over twenty thousand, but record attendance in colmans its well over 3500. i dont even know why im answering this ****.
the fact isyour wrong, the seating reduced the capacity so how do ya work out a full ground then is 3500, and the fact theres 5200 to 6000 tickets now. and once again ye didnt win last time.
Game is definately on at 8pm at Ferrycarrig Park tomorrow.See ya there
Just so ye know...............Jamie Wuncsch is cleared to ply tonight
0-0, gone to extra time. Two problems with that: (a) we haven't scored and we need goals to get the confidence up, (b) the extra time will sap the energy levels ahead of the City game. I was hoping that with the pressure off tonight, we'd click and rack up a comfortable win.
Looks like Wexford just scored on 104 min
Finished 1-0
Looks like the 'A'Championship team will do us until the knockout stages then.
We played a lot of our fringe and younger players. It looked as if Cobh did the same. After a bright start by the Ramblers, it was all one way traffic by the Youths without the finishing touch. Both sides were knackered at the end and probably just as well we both rested players with big games for each of us this week.
Your No.6 got a tough time from the crowd for basically being a Ginger (which is fair enough). However, your keeper got a bit of a jeering from some elements when he clattered in to the post while seeing a ball out. Not on and I apologise for that on behalf of some of our lot
PS Surprised to report that the ref and linos played well:eek:
ya sounds about right for colemans. the 20k i was referring to was the 83 cup games in flower lodge, they were home cup ties which consistutes home attendance. thanks.;)
went to the wexford game, it was shocking. worst game ive seen in a long time. good luck to wexford.
What was the team last night lads?
Fennelly, Coleman, Mulcahy, Cahill, Lally, Wuncsh, King, Kearney, Deady, Meade and Cambridge.
Subs: Barrett on for King, Downing on for Coleman, Long on for Cambridge.
Ramblers were crap. It was one of the worst games I ever saw.
There were 3 players who played well. Deccie Cahill, Kenny Coeman and Stephen Mulcahy. Mulcahy was probably Ramblers Man of the Match he's an absolute tank on the ball. No fear. Definetley one for the future.
I don't think Hendo wanted to win the competition sure he stayed at home training the rest of the ladswho didn't go.
Anthony Fennelly is terrible. He can't kick and I don't think he can see very well either. He left a free-kick go wide, looked away and slammed into the post............idiot.
Alan King spent the night pulling out of challenges but still had the best chance for Ramblers a good 25 yard drive.
Gareth Cambridge was the worst player on the pitch. He was useless. He did no running, no tackling, he did basically nothing except get in the way.
Martin Deady looks a good hope for the future. He just needs to be braver.
jesus he's back again with his one comment every 6 months anytime theres a slight chance for negativity you arrive, after every loss, hes a young lad who hasnt started a match in a year give him time. All your comments are always negative, im surprised you didnt want hendo out. As badly as we need fans theres no room for that kind of attitude towards a 21 year old new signing. Your a joke!!
On a side note i couldnt travel because im sick at the moment so i went and watched them training. They put some effort in, alot of running and great first touch stuff, feww of the players stayed back after practicing few bits and pieces, mucky was trying to beat john meade and whip it in to reilly and he was finishing for about half hour. I think hendo was dead right, if he had of fielded his starting 11 last night agasinst wexford youths second team and one player got injured we'd be snapping, nobody will care that we lost to wexford if we do ourselves proud saturday night.
I was trying to say that to the lads down there last night, I got my head bitten off for saying it but I stand by what I was saying. If Hendo wanted to win he would have gone down himself. After our bad start league safety is a priority, cups are out the window.
did roy long play?
thanks for the apology but could i ask were some of our own "fans" jeering to our own players??
i heard off some players thath tgis was happening and was not impressed..most of these players are young and have brittle or liitle confidence playing for the first team...jeering will not help...anybody have anything to add to this???
We were doing the same amount of shouting that we normally do.
We were quite close to the Wexford fans who were giving the Ramblers players a hard time so maybe there were crossed wires from the players who though we were havin a go at them when infact it was the Wexford crowd. I mean a lot of them have never played for ramblers and probably don't know the rams supporters from the other teams.
We were laughing at Anthony Fennelly alright when he ran into the post. They were people shouting at 1 or 2 players who weren't putting the effort in like Gareth Cambridge and we were shouting over at the Wexford fans from time to time but there was certainly no jeering or booing going on down there.
Just polite encouragement.:D
are you stowing away on the team bus or something, your popping up all over the country:D
it was shocking alright but i definitely wasnt jeering our own players, and i dont recall hearing any of that. there were some people alright having a bit of fun with the wexford crowd.
i wasnt happy enough to be having a laugh TBH. i thought mulcahy was very good, he was strong. could be in the senior team if he keeps it up. i think we just looked shapeless, but they arnt playing together long.
Your No. 6 got the full treatment from out lot. Ripping in to 'gingers' has become a feature at Youths games (except our own that is, that wouldn't be polite)
As for jeering, we too have youngsters who are equally brittle and Mick has decided that they must play away games in pink shirts. We are expecting twice as much as we dish out, but that's the nature of fans
