Skeff , some legend!
in my time from about 1994 to now my favourite players would include wesley charles (not for playing reasons), paudraig moran, johnny kenny, seamie coleman and conor o'grady. of them my biggest legend would be paudraig moran.
no point in me saying anything about the 70's/80's
moran, o'grady and hutchinson are my personal favourites(from about 97 on)
Without doubt - Tony Fagan, head & shoulders above the others. Played his whole career in the Showgrounds.
Runners-up: Tony Stenson, Faz (at the end of next season), Graham Fox
Harry Mc Laughlin,Padraig Moran,Fago and Big Wes
Would have to give it to Moran
Johnny Kenny deserves a mention too. A bullet down the wing...and still going for Arrow Harps too.
Gavin Dykes - 10 Years at the club - captain of the treble winning team in '94-Bravest player I remember in the showgrounds (and a local)
Also when he left (ousted) by the club he was snapped up by Derry, won the league and League cup with them.
I know from posts on the forum a lot of fans have a miscomprehension about Dyksey, but remember this is for what he done when with us.
Now to say he "graced" the pitch, maybe not but "legend" yeah.
Wesley Charles , Steve Birks , Padraig Moran , Rafael Cretaro , Mark Hutchison , Faz , Johnny Hoeks
During my time supporting Rovers only three players stand out that should have the title "LEGEND"........
Fago, Ski & Brendan Bradley
Other possibilties would be Harry and Big Chris
Frank O'Neill and Mick Leech (The Hoops) and Johnny Matthews (Waterford) were the best players I ever saw in the LoI.
Fago would top my list for the bitored Defo
Harry Mclaughlin for skill and entertainment
and others worth a mention would be Ski, Brendan Bradley, Padraig Moran, dykes
From other teams Jackie Jameson (Bohs) and many of the shams players from the 60's, 70's and eighties, Byrnes, neville, coady, king, leech etc
Alan Patterson
David Pugh
Tony Fagan
Paul McGee
Johnny Brooks
Johnny Armstrong
Eddie Annand has to be included as well.
Why are you puting Faz down Gus?? Two good seasons are you are a legend??
Does not make sense
