Our source, Betfair, is distinctly cool on Tigana.
Hm. Has anyone mentioned that Ferenc Puskas was channelled by a medium to John Delaney's slightly touched auntie last night?
He lost out to Ian Holloway for the Leicester job. Not bad record overall. The betting is so strange within the last hour that a Tigana, Hoddle or Daglish might get the nod. Houllier, Brady and especially Venables have all gone out again in the betting.
Tigana to be interviewed? Great player in his time and I thought he did a good job at Fulham. http://www.chatsoccer.eu/news/content/view/107/1/
Where would the world be without chatsoccer? :)
Only compaint, and way off topic, is the description of the Schumacher tackle. I've always felt the violence was massively overplayed. He actually turned his back to avoid hurting Battiston. Total digression!
Is it that Tigana is attending the coaching conference?
Makes a nice speculative difference than the other names spouted left to be interviewed.
Would be an odd appointment given recent developments

If he is an active candidate then the decision would probably be dragged out even further to wait and see how things play out.
How many ex Fulham managers have been linked with the irish job?
tigana, keegan, coleman, sanchez .. I guess when hodgson is replaced he will be back in the mix too
Being a former manager of Fulham is one of the key qualifications for being linked with, without getting, the Ireland manager's job. Look at that last poor chap who was linked with us who had never managed Fulham, or indeed any other team. Without that extra experience, he was left with no choice but to take the job...
anyone any info on tigana being a real candidate?
from what i remember hearing on newstalk last week the rumour started when someone saw him booking a flight here or something similiar?
I would say they saw him checking in maybe, hardly booking a flight over the internet. He probably did that from the comfort of his own home.
no surely you're winding up here?

He's now clear second fav on betfair.
Ken, I can't look at this at work and my laptop is broken so I can't view it. Did Schumacher not turn his back or his side into Battiston in order to avoid worse contact and also to avoid hurting himself? I thought the contact was with his hips, no? I also thought he ran out at pace and quite late had one of those "oh sh1t" moments where he knew he was beaten to the ball.
I honestly think some of the recent two footed tackles we've seen have had more intent. Hunt's tackle this season was a disgrace (vs City?) yet the one he'll be remembered for was the Cech tackle because of its consequences, even though it lacked intent.
I'm very much open to correction :)
Tackle :D
God the French team were tiny then.
Why is Tigana in at second fav? Is it that despite Venables being a clear fav. the panel have decided it is anybody but Venables?
Houllier is supposed to have recommended Tigana.
Houllier is out, Venables may not be ratified or even recommended.
Unless Coppell can be convinced (highly unlikely) we should just give it to Brady and hope he puts a good set up together, the players keep fit and actually take some responsibility.
