I know Scotland are doing well. But are we trying to become them?? At least those of an Ulster Scots identity will like it!
There must be thousands of them in some warehouse hence the grey kit being worn to try and boost sales.

I'm not too keen on the third kit, especially when the team is instructed to wear it for no other reason than to make money for the FAI.
I like the grey one never knew Ireland even had a third jersey.
Orange one was rank was only worn once as well that Macedonia game .......
I like the jersey. Haven't seen it for sale though. Has anyone?
i think its a rotten jersey
England brought out a grey strip for Euro96 and it became very very popular because it looked good with a pair of jeans.
Umbro/FAI looking to cash in.
However, ours is going to have a dirty big orange blob on the front.
Orange one was terrible, but a warehouse was knocked off by people who are probably in the NI assembly by now, so everyone in Belfast had one.
I quite liked the one today. Better than any white away strip we have ever had.
I quite like the grey, think it goes very well with the logo, etc - wear the training top more often than any of the "real" shirts these days!
Our green kit very rarely clashes with other countries'. For 4 of our 6 away games, we have changed colours.:mad: You should wear your home gear on away trips, unless required to change it for clash reasons.Quote:

No I was far from happy with it , but who cares as I will not be buying one if they soon to hit the pre Christmas market .....
The grey reflects the colour of the dark clouds gathering over Irish football at the moment.
Maybe.
Lucky we have colour TV. Imagine trying to watch yesterdays game on the old black & white telly!
I suppose it could be a ploy to throw away fans off guard as they look for these boys in green we're allegedly standing up for.
I think the 3rd kit is bland and uninteresting and a somewhat cynical and disappointing marketing ploy, and in that sense, they are probably the ideal introduction for the end of the Staunton Era.
However, I must admit that Im not really the target market , as I haven't given the FAI buggerall bar ticket money in the last 10 years.
Personally, I wouldn't trust them to satisfactorily budget with an 8 year old's Pookie money, never mind a sizeable kickback from shirt sales.
ah yeah. got the 550, changed at craven arms for a bus to shrewsbury, then a train to chester, then a (needless) dash across the platforms, upon being told 'that train over there is for holyhead and it's about to go', followed by ten minutes sitting in the train, starving, then from there by every man, jack and sheep f ucking halt in north wales to holyhead (cos there was a direct train. only the later ones had bus substitutes from llandudno junction). all in all very pleasant. i also phased out on the ferry, though the crashes onto the waves that sounded like a car exploding below decks kept me awake a bit.
note: never ever assume they will have food and or booze on a train in the uk. i was cycling to dublin port on friday and as i passed an offlicence i thought "ah, sure i can get some booze on the train" as well as "ah, sure i can get some food on the train". seven and a half hours later, we pulled into cardiff, burger king then the pub. seven and a half long, sober, hungry hours. we would have got some stuff in holyhead, but the train left at 16:35:00, and we made it into the terminal building at about 16:34:30 and had to sprint to the train.
You really have to question why a third strip is being brought out. We barely even need a second strip never mind a third. With Irish football at its lowest ebb and no tournament/competitive matches to look forward to in the summer, who do the FAi think will go out and buy this jersey, id be surprised if they didnt actually lose money on this one.
