I'm told it's on Saturday at 1.00pm but from where to where is what I don't know.
1.00pm from the Old Town Hall (East beach) to the new Town Hall. Pipe band an all that is involved. We should try to have a big crowd out for that.
Also, the Forrest v City game tomorrow night is off but the City v Ramblers game is still on 25th at 3.00pm in Colmans Park
Oh OK.I guess it wont be an all out thing so in case any of them get injured.
lets get out and support the lads, hope all the people who have come out of the woodwork as rams fans since we won turn up:D
i'll be there with bells on
Lads the parade is Saturday at 3pm from the old town hall. Just read it there in Inside Cobh. Parade throught the town followed by a civic reception with the mayor and council.
COME ON THE RAMS!!!!!!:D
Bad Mini. Putting false info on here. Hang ur head.
I'm sure he said 1 anyway
It sounds like it'll be a bit ****ed up if times aren't sorted. It's down as 3 on inside Cobh and that is where most people will get their info.
If it is a different time there will have to be posters and info on the radio to sort it out!
Gimme 5 minutes
Just rang Club Sec and he confirmed that it is at 1.00pm Inside Cobh quoted 3 because that's what they were told and it was too late to change it as they'd gone to print.
Doubting myself..................Nah :p
It will have to be put out there that it is 1. Really don't wana start ****ing parents off by getting them to bring down their kids at 3 when it is all over and having to listen to them roar because they missed the parade.
We had enough f ups last year with the draw being postponed etc. Posters will need to go up in every shop tomorrow at the latest. Get it coerrected on 96fm and red fm too.
Marco have you got posters you can do up????
Can we get help in distributing
This crowd will be the crowd that go to our first home game.........
Get the City game advertised at the same time.....
why not have it at three like inside cobh says save hassle
excellent that explains the one o clock cheers
forgot about ireland think i would prefer to watch paint dry
i dont think a bit of rai will stop us from turning up on saturday , this is such a bit thing for the club and the town of cobh ,we must all show how proud we are of our tem .
Lads after all the hype for the week we forget to mention we were honoured with the presence of Tom the Gom last Saturday.:D
lads in mood for a rant
can someone explain something to me there was 700 or so in athlone for match, personally about 200 hadnt been to a match all year, they came to the match professed there love for the club drank from the cup as if they had sweated fro the club, it makes me sick then to go to a victory parade in our own town and only 200 turn up all the trophy chasers are missing had there moment with the ramblers will prob watch all the home games next year from mthe comfort of a bar stool in the town
not saying al of us are the best fans but we all show up for home games and alot of away games and to win the league means so much as we been there thro thicka nd thin come what may. it kills me to see the victory celebrated by people who will not go to games and god forbid we lose our first game of season they will be round the town slagging team and club typical rams etc ye now the way
i thought it was a disgrace yesterday felt ashamed to be a cobhite, sick of trophy chasers who could give a sh*t if club caught fire tomorrow
sorry for being a moaner but this has annoyed me since yesterday
Must say you have a valid point or two there, however, people, be them avid loyal supporters who attend all games or just one game, have every right to attend the Victory Parade. I din't travel to one single away game last year for various different reasons. Would that make me a 'Trophy Chaser' as you call it? Don't get me wrong, I'm not having a go at you for your comments, but I'd rather 300 trophy chasers and 400 loyal (been to every game types)turn up at a game as big as Athlone was. I have no need to explain myself, but next season I probably won't be going to any away games either. My reasons are personal and nothing Club or people related.
Very poor turnout yesterday and u are right ramsfan there were a lot of trophy chasers up in athlone. I commented about in a previous thread and when walking behind the lads i looked around and there wasn't one of the trophy chasers around. Even the night we won the league up in rams.....the fallout from the com was unbelievable all these p**sheads who hadn't attended a game all year up there celebrating a league win when really they were just celebrating a pub that was open after the comm.
An absolute disgrace!
Lads theres trophy chasers at every club no matter where you go,if we string a few wins together next year you will see our attendences soar but a few losses and the opposite occurs,we all know there was people in athlone that havent been seen in years but thats always goin to be the way in sport onto the bandwagon for the victory drinks
I know there are some valid points there but don't be too quick to judge. I met a few people in Athlone who I though were 'trophy chasers' but when talking to them found out they are Season ticket holders too..........
Could have embarrased myself easily but thankfully didn't.
I know a lot of supporters that can only make about a quarter of the games due to shifts and family etc.
Athlone was the only away game I made myself last year and I missed about 4 home games too. This was probably my best attendance in years. Would love to make all of them but I can't.
As for the Victory parade, I think it wasn't advertized very well which was the the reason for a lower than expected turnout. Only for logging on here last week I would have been downtown at 3.........
what concern is it of anybodys if someone turns up once or never.
people spent money to go to athlone and support the team and then get hammered for being trophy chasers.the town was united for the match against athlone like never before and everybody made an effort to get there maybe it should have said only regulars welcome or something like that or no trophy chasers allowed and that might have pacified people.the thing is that the support is there, its now how to keep people going next season and make the home matches special occasions that people want to go to and not be critisied by whingers going on about trophy chasers etc,one person through the gate is a benifit to the club so everbody should be thanked and welcomed not questioning why they are there.
