What EL players do ye think will make this squad?
Nobody in the Cup final anyway, it looks like.
Cup final is 2nd December, I'm sure clubs would release players.
Mooney for Ireland!
Joe Gamble, Gavin and/or Gartland.
:D langer!
Well if any EL player deserves it would be Shamrock Rovers no 1. Barry Murphy. Goals against this season proves that plus superb performances for the last three seasons. If Barry wants to it's only a matter of time before he goes on to play at a higher level. hopefully for Rovers it will be a while before he does, but he's undoubtedly quality.
Brian shelly deserves a run imho .Hes been outstanding for us this season
Murphy would be in England if he was 5 inches taller. As it is unfortunately he can't command his box with authority and is prone to get beaten just under the bar. That said he's the best keeper I've seen in the league in recent years.
Barry Murphy, Colin Healy and Ger O'Brien
Joe Gamble should make it. Can't think of nyone else.
I think Seamus Coleman should.
Weso should make it me thinks.
* Healy has not shown enough form but I still think he will get picked.
* Joe Gamble & Denis Behan the only City players I can think of.
* The remainder of eL players will depend on who they represented/advised by.
League has been rubbish this season so hard to find players that stood out.
Dean Delaney
seamus coleman
Cant think of any pats players that are playing well enough to be in that squad.
haverty maybe if he got a few games for shels (a paradox)

Quigley maybe but we've a lot of decent strikers around the Championship.
I'd omit Barry Murphy for similar reasons though I think he's an excellent keeper. The top eL midfielders and centre-backs are certainly not far off Stans lot.
You also have to look at who has any remote chance of working his way in to the team in the medium-term future.
That rules out the likes of Stuey Byrne and Heary along with Trundle and Georgie .
What about Joey Ndo? Could give us the creative spark missing from the midfield when Stan refuses to put in Andy Reid for no apparent reason...
Barry Ryan?
Darren Quigley?
Being the incumbent reserve B keeper.
"Well apart from the fact that he's not Irish ................"
Thanks for pointing that out to me... Appreciate it. Cause the sarcasm wasnt evident there at all...
Always thought 'Ndo' was originally a Mayo surname though...
