Think i read another thread on here about UFC and Michael Bisping. How he won that fight tonight i'll never know.
Seems to me like it was a decision to ensure that UFC stays popular in England, just where is Don King?

This UFC rubbish is never off the air these days.
Every fight turns into a gay kama sutra session. Two big bulky fellas straddling and wrapping their legs around each other.
Disgraceful stuff.
UFC just went commercial and all that after the initial success....
i loved it at the very start, think it was once a year(??) and rarely was there conflicting codes of martial arts. i.e boxer vs karate ...... thai-boxer vs jiu jitsu
now there all trained in wrestleing/grappling and the outcome of the fight rarely changes...couldnt beat the old ones for entertainment as you never knew what was going to happen next!!.
Can't get into it at all. No doubt you'll get fantastic bruising battles like you would in boxing but the majority of what I've seen is too much like watching Olympic wrestling.
I know that's a skill in itself but it's not riveting viewing to a lot of people. Give me boxing anyday.
Think its class, the days of ken shamrock and randy cotoure were best, the reality series type things are ****e.
I love it,UFC 80 had a poor card apart from the Penn fight.
UFC 81 looks good,2 Heavyweight fights Tim Sylvia Vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Frank Mir Vs. Brock Lesnar which looks like its gona be a quick with for Lesnar
Wasn't Brock Lesnar a wrestler? I vaguely remember the guy as a bit of a machine so if it's the same fella, it would be a good draw to have in your company.
Ya,his debut http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XLkqQwIT2k
i hate WWE but when i see this video (especially when he lifts the blonde fella up) it makes me shiver.
i know WWE is fake but what he does must f**k*ng hurt
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fg2hsNU8uRg
Well as you said its fake and they are trained to take falls like that...
There's no way that it DOESN'T hurt. They are trained not to get injured taking the falls, not to magically feel no pain.
Give Lesnar a few more fights and he'll be a massive force in UFC. He was all over Mir before making a schoolboy error and getting caught by a submission master. Lesnar is an absolute beast of a man and he can wrestle and move about on the ground better than most.
UFC 82 doesnt look a bad card at all,Anderson Silva(best mma fighter ive seen) Vs. Dan Henderson
Cheick Kongo,Jon Fitch,Diego Sanchez all fighting:)
Power alone won't get you very far unless you have a good defence against all the jujitsu experts out there, Lesner has a weird build, huge upper body but relatively skinny legs which seem to be his akillies heel
The Ultimate Fighter starts Saturday(Team Rampage v Team Forrest) on Bravo and UFC Fight Night is on after it and 83 is on the 24th,a huge month. Bigest Fight Night ever
What does the numerical value like 81 etc after the UFC signify lads?
UFC 1 was the 1st event, its goes along like that
Cheers. Is there a specific amount every year? I really don't know how the set up works at all.
Usually one a month and then UFC Fight Night which showcases smaller fights, once a month roughly
UFC Fight Night was hugely entertaining.
Nate Diaz beating Kurt Pellegrino by Submission (Choke) at 3:06 in the 2nd round was the best fight imo.
Kenny Florian beat Joe Lauzon
Thiago Alves beat Karo Parisyan
James Irvin beat Houston Alexander (TKO after 8 seconds:eek:)
Gray Maynard beat Frank Edgar
Josh Neer beat Din Thomas
Marcus Aurelio beat Ryan Roberts
Manny Gamburyan beat Jeff Cox
Clay Guida beat Samy Schiavo
George Sotiropoulos beat Roman Mitichyan
Anthony Johnson beat Tommy Speer
Not one of them would last 5mins on a hurling pitch... Sissys... :D
A Shams fan and a Gah head:eek:
Dana White said Sundays UFC 83 is the biggest UFC event ever.22,000 tickets sold in 2 days and the biggest fight in a while,Matt Serra vs George St' Pierre
Has Rampage Jackson ever lost?
Not in UFC but he has 6 career losses (as opposed to 28 wins) with 5 coming in PRIDE and the other in KOTC.
Saw his big monster truck when I was at the final round of the Formula D championship in LA in October. It's a nasty looking machine. He was there signing autographs, I was too lazy to queue as it was a pretty long line.
How big is he in real life bud?
Like I said I didn't see him, except on the big screen at the event. He's only a light heavyweight though. I know that's the high profile division of UFC but size wise that would make him considerably smaller than half the posters on this site, myself included, albeit with a much better BMI.
Hes 6'1 205pounds
Which translates into just over 14 and a half stone. Didn't know the light heavys in UFC were that heavy (it's a fair bit more than boxing) but still considerably ligther than a lot of posters on here.
Been watching The Ultimate Fighter and Mr Jackson seems like an extremly down to earth bloke. Even if he looks like an animal!!
For some reason, Ziggy from Big Brother last year is going to enter The Ultimate Fighter: http://www.rte.ie/arts/2008/0417/ziggyinterview.html

LM: Are you allowed to tell us because you can't just mention it and not say?
ZL: I can, yeah. It's something called UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) - it's a cage rage thing. I'm going through an eight-week stint of training to be an Ultimate Fighter.
