Whats the story with this game. Anyone know the score or are ye all at the game?????
I am informed that the match is very boring indeed.
2-0 now. McGowan again- he got 2 against us.
3 now, O Dea with the third. Dunno what ye're at, we hammered these guys. :)
Only because we fielded the youngsters in the second half and let them back into it. Overall though we hammered them.
Ah well, I'm sure GU made a good few quid.
I heard the attendance was well down from what turned out for sunderland last week?
I heard the same.
how did it finish up fellas? any idea who scored the first goal or played for celts??
3-0 finished - half the crowd roughly of the sunderland match
thanks for that! galway must've had the kids out if virgo was able to score.
So much for Celtic bringing over a "strong squad"
it was an alright game, fairly small crowd, my first Galway game
enjoyed it though
Well as friendlies go it was par for the coruse , not much to get really one can say about it apart from United made some money out of it . Celtic seemed to have a lot of kids playing , I don't know too much about the team but the but the only one I knew was Sno . As for United I have nothing really positive to say a wasted game . Our midfield were out to lunch and as for Barry well I was happy when he dropped back to right back which says it all .
If I was pushed I would say Wes did quite well while he was on but to pick a player of the match for Gayway I would go for Robson who looked good at the back and added a bit of much needed steel in midfiled after half time .
As for the guy on trial Hughes I would say not much better than we have at the moment in the squad .

We truely would have hit 5/6 easily had we stuck with our 1st half team. We had bundles of chances after 3-0 and even in the second half with a virtually new team out we could have scored more.
Only 3000 at the game? We had Over 5000 and could have sold more tickets had we a bigger ground.
How many did ye have at yere game versus Sunderland last week?
A million.
Id say we will break even or better this season after the revenue generated around the 2 events. The Sunderland game was a serious money spinner with 2 additional fundraisers ran in conjunction with it.
The only problem was the amount of work involved which has left most people involved wrecked but it was well worth it.As for the results next friday nights game is far more important hence nearly all the first team was rested last night.
Celtic fans on KDS forum full of praise for the stadium and also saying the pitch was in superb condition.
thats good to hear eirebhoy
Yer i must admit the pitch is really A1 , I was speaking one of our lads and a Sunderland fan said to him that he has seen worse pitches in England at the very start of the season and found it hard to believe we are half way into our season .:)
have to say the pitch was looking good
:D quality!
nice one hoop
