Any news on the injured players for Sat night...
Yeah, Neil Lloyd and Michael Funston are definitely out. :)
A few of us are coming down if any of ye are up for meeting for a pint before or after the game.
Kearneys out, John Meade could be too. Big losses. Davins back.
Yeah, we're booked into the BellaVista. Deadly people to deal with every time I've been on to them.
Will try and make the clubhouse in good time for the game :)
Thats about the best team available,,,hope shane hennessy gets on the bench..could be the answer to our scoring problems...
how did the 2 players on loan from city play? they didnt do much against limerick u21`s...
Daly played well caufield wasnt there. Might be injured.
I saw Declan Cahill play against limerick and I thought he was class. He's small but he can jump high.
Daly was meant to be cahill i keep callin him daly cause the last city fella decie daly, Cahill played well.
This should be a great game two form teams going head to head, tickets can be purchased outside the ground beforehand, also there is a raffle for Marymount after the game for a framed signed Sunderland jersey.
How many expected, 700?
wouldnt think there would be much more than that...getting the posters up might add a few bodies alright...any update on injuries?
John Meade seemed fit the other night. fingers crossed he'll make a massive difference. Could be just Kearney
as you say fingers crossed for meady.....mucky for kearney so?
Possibly who knows.
So is this dude injured and suspended?Quote:
The following suspensions and sanctions were issued by the Disciplinary Commission at their meeting on Wednesday, 11th July 2007 and are effective as and from Wednesday, 25th July 2007 unless otherwise stated:
John Kearney (Cobh Ramblers) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined €25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.
No others for either side that I'm aware of.
whats the story with attendances, they are up, that is visable at every game but going on last years figures they seem to be satyin the same, highlights of the low attendances are derry and dundalk, which in my opinion were well over the 1000 mark (north terrace full, stand half full and clubhouse end fairly jammed), so whats the story.
onto the game anyways, ill go for another sneaky, we seem to be stronger at home this year, last few year we seemed better on the road, so we now seem to be combining them well, given a full team bar maybe kearney or meade, kearney more so, i think we should be able to beat harps,
my prediction, there'll be a goal between us, this will be our hardest test yet,
comon the rams :ball::ball::ball:
seems to me that attendances are down.(paying customers that is)...seems alot of people get free passes i.e special needs, ethnic groups etc...
Think the amount of local supporters is well down...maybe this is because we dont seem to be publicising it much locally....
a lot of posters up this week alright so that might increase Cobh support..hope so ...Club need it
Predictions so lads. 2-1 Murray & Reilly, if Reillys not playing O'Shea. Local support is way down alrite. Always has been.
2 nil..cummins with both
na they'll be better than that, gonna be a really tough one id say.
look at the tables..well behind us..on paper Dundalk and Limerick should have given us a tougher match than they did...No one to fear in this league....
finn harps are top of the league by a few points going on form over the last 6 games.. check out the form table here,
http://www.soccerbot.com/frames.htm
ya but where are they after 21 matches?
ur only as good as your form is... and they are the team that has got the most points from the lst 10 games...
But we have a lot more than them after 21 games.....thats what counts..points in the bag....
I think this is going to be our toughest test of the season, Harps are flying at the moment and John Kearney will be a big loss to us, that said if the team work as hard as they have in most games this season then it will also be a tough one for Harps.
i agreee this will be the acid test we mugged them in ballybofey ... they played us off the park and we got two breaks and scored ..they have tightned up defensively since that so its going a tough one ... but ther are no hiding places at this time of the sesaon .... stand and be counted..
Grow up buddy
We are 10 points behind you with a game in hand. IF we win on saturday we are only 7 points behind, and still the game in hand. And with 17 games to go we aint giving nothing up yet.
We have been flying and, if you ask any Dundalk fan they will tell you that, we deserved the 3 points down in oriel.
But in all honesty we are kaking it, as we got less point than ye in our first few games, and well lets be honest, we were ****e at the start of the season. So therefore just because we won 7 of our last 8 games and conceded 1 goal in those 8 games it irrelevent due to the fact ye had a better start to the season than us. At least the rest of the cobh fans on here seem realistic enough and know a bit about football.
Even though we are still gonna beat ye :p
id be happy with a nil nil.....
suppose they have to beat us really to make up ground,so hopefully they will come at us and not play for a point...should be good match..cant see them scoring the way our defensive 5 is playing...still say 2nil to rams...fingers crossed
