Highs definitly Dundalk, Shelbourne and John Kearney what a finding he is by Hendo.
Lows Douglas and Passage!
Another high is watchin the football they play at times. Fantastic 1st half lets hope they can keep it up.
Agree with all of the above, another high has been the form of Graham Cummins.
Gareth Cambridge also...at times. How about the back 4 though. Have we ever had a back four as good since or including O Donaghue, Wilshaw, O Halloran & Mellerick....legends. What about Guthrie for POTY (or find of the year)Quote:

Ya agree with the lows Rams-07. Only 1 player of the year so far for me. Kearney. John Meade 2 Murray 3, We've had some back 4 this year to be fair. Careys been outstanding too in my opinion.
forgot about the Douglas Hall match,think that was a once off and some strange team picking by hendo (dropping cummins & mikey)
agree with you on player of year so far,Kearney`s been outstanding in his first season,John meade excellant also and Murray as good as last year...have no confidence in Guthrie tbh..cummins up front has improved bigtime along with Cambridge...Barrett solid in midfield..Davin started well but has got tired lately...
dont think we would be saying things like this after the A G M when Hendo told us he had to make so much cut backs ..fair play to him & Martin Cambridge for what they have achieved so far..
high, is our league position,
low, is no cups (dont care there distractions worry about them next year in the prem)
players of the year (theres not just one) carey, cummins, kearney, meade, bilko could name the lot of them they exceded all or expectations and deserve all the praise they get

Strikers lack of goals is also a problem only Cummins is scoring. We need a striker in the window someone who is guaranteed goals because Nolan, O'Reilly, Mikey and McCarthy havn't scored enough.
I think guthrie and davin are gettin a raw deal here, fair enough guthrie was shaky at start but i thin khes been top class alll seasin after it, fiar enough davin is up and down player but i wouldnt call it a low of the season, every time were playin good football he always is in the middle of it. Hes definitly a big game player too.

As an ex pat it's great to see them doing so well in the league especially when there was a fair bit of doom and gloom at the start of the season. In reply yo drinkferarse,ya things are running very smoothly on the pitch..hendo has em working very hard and their organisation is fab:)
As for off the pitch,things not going great...a lot of members not happy with the way things are been run..a lot of unrest at committee level..
no one seems to be able to give us an honest answer to questions we ask...:(

Talking to people Marco,a lot of good ideas out there but people unwilling to give their time(or money) for various reasons...think you know what im sayin....

what do you want from the club???
new dressing rooms, floodlights, proper seating, a stand (that will be completed), a premier license, new turnstiles, tickets (to look professional)(i have an idea to give to someone at the club when i see them to improve that a bit), bar revenue is up, more advertising for games (thanks marco), a successful team, better website, better programs,
now maybe the chairman didn't do all this, it is the commitees job to run the club, some are the ones attending all the meeting getting things movin in the background, thats all part of it, some are in the ground day after day doing there part, others are just there to give ideas (all members of the commitee don't have time, but don't love the club any lees for not giving a hand) some of which are good, but you don't know where each idea comes from, the commitee decides not the individual, so there should be no glory hunters, there elected to run the club and they seem to be doing a very good job of it, there are things to be done, and will be done when the resources are in place to do them.
Ya your right,the committee are elected by the members to run the club,but there seems to be a complete lack of communication at this level..iVe spoken to different committee members lately and when i asked the same question I got 4 different answers...
Its great to see the improvements to the ground but the way I see it that the grants were available for them any way and no matter who was elected the work would have been done ....
there is a lot of distrust towards certain people in the club and i think they are holding back the club bigtime....a lot business people just wont sponsor the club till this is sorted out..(proof of that is the amount of players not been sponsored or no match sponsor for last 2 matches..)

Not true as the Grants were available when Sully was in charge and he didnt take them up. So it does matter who is elected as some are doers and some are talkers. Sully talked but Barry got it done and we cannot forget that.
Agree with you there but when you "barry" dont you mean the committee..after all there is 7 more elected with him..dont they deserve credit 2...dont think Barry did it all on his own do you..Dont like naming people tbh....as for Sully he did his best for the club also along with all the previous chairmen and committees that were elected...everyone played their part not just one man..
we weren't able to aquire the grants when sully was there as he never got the tax clearance cert required for us to collect the grants, barry walsh has got the grants trough and delivered so far, the stand will be completed and we should know by the end of the season if the north terrace will become the next stand,
also under barry we obtained a premier license, which only dundalk have in this division, we all know the commitee runs the club but you need a chairman who knows people to get things done, sure bertie doesn't run the country alone, but hes a good leader for the simple reason he knows his stuff, barry knows his stuff simple as, ye love havin a go at him i cant understand why hes not liked, he delivered what was promised what more do you want.
someone that you can talk to any not be looked down on,someone that respects the members and not ignore them,someone who knows whats going on the club (cant run a club/business from dublin),someone who will take on board the concerns of the members,auditors..
what are you talking about you can go up and ask the chairman any question you want about the club and hell answear it, so what if he works in dublin that doesnt affect his performance, thats why theres a commitee, a chiarmans job is to sort out the businss side of things, you don't see bill gates working on the production line up in apple, do you, hes has his connections that work in our favour sure look at michael d higgins in galway united he does noting for the club but got them promoted for teh simple fact he knew people,
its not what you know it who you know, and that is just a sorry fact of life,
previous boards sold the training ground for pennies, built one stand, i remember all the money got to develope the ground was wasted, we got to the premier division and spent what we didn't have and are only now recovering from it, AGM in a few months whoever think they can do a better job should apply now or stop moaning, the club is moving forward, if your not happy with the commitee answears to your questions, vote them out, dont say the chairman doesnt answear questions unless you ever asked him one, ive asked alot and got answears all the time.
Asked him plenty of times and didn`t get an answer just smart answers,
God he has got you really in his pocket..you seem to know an awful lot about other clubs...would you not think of getting involved yourself...think the club could do with people like us who seem to care a lot....
