John O'Donoghue has just been elected Ceann Comhairle. So there'll be a new Minister for Sport.
Will the new incumbent provide the same backing for Shamrock Rovers getting into Tallaght as JOD did? This appointment could be as important for Shamrock Rovers as any judicial review.
Are the PD's in aswell? If so, hope it'll be Harney:D.

initial impression is good. he is a TD from near enough the area, knows the score on the issue and was pro rovers when yours truely was canvassed by him. has no ties to any Gah club and sure as hell wont be bullied by jumped up little hitlers like Kennedy.Quote:

This is another ministerial post to add to his collection. He has certainly held some of these over the years. Personally I thought he would be appointed Ceann Comhairle. No doubt he will be a safe pair of hands but can't see him setting the sports world alight. Sounds like a sideways move at best.Quote:

Very good. A good chunk of his constituency is in the SDCC area. Not least where I grew up. We have family connections to him as well. This is a very good appointment from a Rovers point of view.Quote:

Good job for Brennan as he nearly lost his last time only to be given the worst posting in Store Street.
As he's FF there wont be much change in the position already adopted. Good appointment for us.

When is this issue actually going to be resolved? It seems never-ending. If Rovers win this case, do they have absolute go-ahead on the ground? If so, how long will it take to finish and open it?
