Ahmmmmmm.....apart from John D I would seriously doubt it.......but you never know!!:)
It's on the Bank Holiday weekend - Monday I think so I prob will attend ok. Timmy Lynch, Stevie and James (now a Junior international) all playing for Kerry from what I hear. And yeah , hopefully some future signings for the blues:D
Ya Timmy, stevie and james will be playing alog with dave hennesy (ex-waterford) chris kerins dave and steve conway ex limerick players, should be a good game and all the lads would be able for the step up to limerick37 if asked?? :)
IMO Hennesey is good enough and Chris not sure over his lazy attitude
Dave Conway i think was young player of year in his only season with limerick so he is good enough while his brother steven hasnt really been given a chance.
Still i hope we can give city a game and cause a major upset
Couldn't hack it before, what's changed??
Just not good enoughQuote:

Wasn't a lot of competition in fairness :)Quote:

I'd probably have him around as a squad player, shouldn't be near a team with promotion ambitions though. (Not saying we are, but if we ever were)
Of course i am a limfan just tryna stick up for me county players!
Expenses was the problem for the lads as they were offered none and because of taking off work on fri and i heard alrite SOM asked for a big amount and SC wasnt released by his club lisselton becoz of the Munster Junior Cup!
i play with dave conway lads and unfortunately he is going australia today for a couple of months so he wont be playing with any1 this season
Kerry 1-1 Cork City cork won 4-3 on penalties.. Great display from the Kerry and ex-limerick players...very unlucky to loose, deserved to go through..
Totally agree with that. Kerry were the better team. It was only in the second half when Cork got level that they came into the game but their only threat was Denis Behan. The own goal was a cruel one to concede but I think the sending off of Stephen O'Mahony was too big a blow to Kerry. Had he finished the game I think Kerry would have won as they really lacked his support play in the second half. James Sugrue was outstanding and was easily man of the match. How ironic it was that it was he who missed the vital penalty in the shoot-out at the end.
Fraid not...Painting the house !!!
Sounded like a great match though was following it on de aertel. Really sorry for the Kerry Boys seems like they deserved to win
Woods, Lordan, Behan and the 21s so I wouldn't be that worried.
Good to hear the Kerry boss openly talking about their ambition to play in the eL.
Wouldn't agree with you there Gael. There are several young players in Kerry who are coming through and there aren't any players that played the last night that I would consider to be too old to play LoI. Kerry's clubs have had good success in recent seasons at underage level and with the under-21's doing well over the past couple of years there is a lot more interest in the team. Kerry will enter the new A Championship next season with the intension to build a squad and support base that will be good enough to compete in the League of Ireland in couple of years. There is better co-operation between the Kerry League team and the KDL clubs now and hopefully this will continue so that it will benefit football in the county. It's easy to say right now that support is small but as you should know yourself Gael, it takes time to get people to attend matches and this is generally done by getting results. Remember the handful of people that used to attend Pike Rovers SC on Saturday afternoons not so long ago.;)
Would definately agree with that...
Kerrys oldest player Mon nite was Maurice o Rahily at 25 so they would be one of the youngest sides IMO if entered the league next season. The underage Kerry teams both at schoolboy and county level have been doin extremely well in the past few years and the future of kerry soccer is very much rosey red.
Ant about the crowds.. when kerry were in their first year they were gettin an average of 400-800 at big games and the interest is growing in anticipation of going EL.
Would agree with gael that it should have been done years ago and it was a pitty to watch lot of that talent go the past few years...
3 lads came on.
Darren Murphy (U-21) isn't a starter, nor Woods or Lordan for that matter.
Behan third choice but probably plays more than Roy.
Basically the second string side it was.
