Can anyone remember was RTÉ.ie's EL coverage available worldwide last season? I would walk downstairs and ask but I'd say you lot will have the answer waaaaay quicker. ;)

the cup final certainly was (but it did stop its coverage midway through extra time!!)

I think its only GAA & foreign football that RTE can't show outside Ireland. If someone owned the North American rights to the eL i suppose RTE would not be able to broadcast there...

Towards the end of last season all live RTE games were available on broadband worldwide (they showed Shels V Drogs for example). Not sure if the same is the case this season. I can't find anything on the RTE website about it.

take an aeroplane to your destination and dont watch any games on the internet would be my advice RR. ;)

If you want to access any online streaming, from any website that stipulates you have to be from a certain country, simply go to a site like http://www.publicproxyservers.com/ and chose a proxy server address for whatever country you want.
Then go into your connection settings and change your connection to the relevant proxy address.
It helps also having a club in your current country's league. (Although I didn't actually leave the country, having been born and raised in the US.) I'm hoping to be able to get to see some of the games by the startup 4th-tier club in Buffalo live this summer, and will be following Toronto on the TV. I could follow a European club that's on here more than an EL side, like ManU. But I wouldn't feel so attached to them.Quote:

Is there a way to watch the games online internationally afterwards? A 19:45 start in Ireland means a 14:45 start for me, and I don't even get home from work till 16:30 at the earliest. If they are only live, then this really puts me at a disadvantage. :( Tried the public proxy server site, couldn't find one for Ireland.Quote:
