Kenny Dalglish has emerged as a possible short-term replacement for under-fire Republic of Ireland manager Steve Staunton, according to a Monday morning newspaper report.
Dalglish lifted the English League on four occasions as manager, three at Liverpool and one at Blackburn Rovers, but has been away from the dug-out for the past seven years. He was mooted as a possible Irish boss when the FAI was seeking a new manager after the departures of both Mick McCarthy and Brian Kerr.
