Well, MLS is the only American sports league that doesn't follow the CityName Nickname format and to be honest with you I think it is a bad idea for their ability to catch on in the USA. Using European style team names may give the league more international credibility but it makes it strange to the common American.Quote:

The point is, some of the Europizations in MLS have proven to be unpopular is all. But in the end, it's a bit odd for EL clubs to use US names when the country that this style of naming comes from is abandoning it in the same sport.Quote:
