Have just seen a post on the FAI about invitations from any Limerick team to join the league. Check it out, unreal!
The FAI clearly want a Limerick team in the league. The club in it's current state seems to have no chance due to numerous factors, so why not advertise for interested parties?
Looks like the present Limerick FC as we know it is now GONE :eek: if thats the case, disappointed to say the least.

I just think they are looking for a team which can provide a steady ground for growth no matter where they finish in the league at the end of the season..
It will be seen as a success as they are the new boys in the league and any win/draw will boost the profile of the league... its alot to do with marketing as well.
They can't until someone comes in and takes over the ownership of the club from Danny Drew. Until then they will not be in the eL.Quote:

Maybe because Limerick are a shell of a club similar to Dublin City. Looks like Limerick could be given 10 years leeway & not get league licence they so far away from the minimum standard.Quote:
