A babyish 25. It all started for me with Michael Jackson's 'Bad' on cassette... :o And if you think that's bad I should tell you that my second purchase was about as far removed as can be from 'Candy Apple Grey', shocking stuff, even for an 8 year old! :DQuote:

Bleach, while maybe not a better album, is, I think, more than decent. To me it is closer to a 'grunge' album than Nevermind.
'Nevermind' reminds me of 'Never mind the ********' in that respect, a good album, held up to represent the defining album of their genres, but the major label production values kind of take some of the edge off it.
They didn't do much to interest me after Nevermind.
My favourite Nirvana album is In Utero.
However, Sonic Youth > Nirvana:)
All jokes aside out of the four supposed grunge heavyweights I'd put Nirvana bottom of pile behind Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden.
Grunge was a nonsense term anyway, it had more to do with image than sound much like emo today.
Pearl Jam all the way. Seen them twice during the summer - they still got it!
