It's all part of the nationwide anti-Derry City conspiracy I tell ya!
Perhaps, in view of the content below, a clever lawyer (or even a dim one) could explain how RTE is not in breach, generally and in this specific instance, of its public service charter, under which it is supposed to do things other than spend millions of tax euros on a foreign league already available on other channels.

The licence fee is not meant to cover what people want to watch. People watch Celebrity Farm not Prime Time. It is meant to cover Public Service broadcasting. Hence RTE should not be using the licence fee to outbid TV3 for the Champions League to the detriment of Domestic football.Quote:
