I got a Charlton Years DVD for 50c this morning. It had a free tabloid attached. The DVD is great though. Brought back some great memories.
Anyone else buy it?

Well worth the shame of picking up the NOTW.
I picked up the Toilet paper, but I started to wretch and come out in anxiety blotches, so I put it back down.
I know a DVD wholesaler who has shyteloads of the original, and is preparing to shovel them out in panic, so I'll watch it when he offloads it to me.
NOTHING is worth picking up that filthy, filthy rag.:)
Is a really good DVD, far far superior to the Colin Meaney one I got at xmas anyway.
Is it not the same as teh Colm Meaney one. I presumed it was and did not buy it.
The Colm Meaney one was very disappointing. This one is far superior, plenty of action and the qualifying games as well.
I can't ever remember seeing that footage from the tournament in Iceland.
Does anyone have an "extra" they could mail to the States. I'd send something back in return.
Is it the old Charlton Years vid ??
What paper was it with again.
news of the world
tis the best irish dvd about...have it on video from back when the music etc etc is class its very well done...
a must
If anyone is able to copy this DVD and post to london please PM me.:)
Is it the one with the 'flashbacks' of Brady's goal against France and of the battle of Sofia?
I too would like to see this
Yeah, if someone can upload it it'd be much appreciated by us ex-pats.
I have a copy lads, dont have any means of copying thou but if someone wants to take it to make a few copies of it, ye're more than welcome
roll on the good times again!
Excellent DVD especially the footage of Sofia'77 and Brussels'81 although they didnt show Eric Gerets 25 yard dive to earn the free kick that lead to the goal in the 89th min and robbed us of a World Cup place in Espana'82.
Did no body else on here notice the glaring error in the team pic on the front cover on the DVD ?
It's from Giants Stadium v Italy - there's only TEN players in the team photo !
Blue Peter Badge for the first person to say who the missing player is !
Lads this is on TV3 on sat night after the game, so get ye're recorders out!
Think TV3 are showing the Jack Charlton years which is not great.
Terry Phelan missed the photo cos he had to change his boots. So the paper said..........
KOH
I know a guy who might put this up
In the mean time, learn to use a torrent file
Guys, would anyone have a copy of McCarthy's Park? It was a similar type of documentary to that of the Charlton years, but shorter, and was shown on RTE in late early 1998. I recorded it at the time but have since misplaced the tape! Can anyone help with this one?
wasnt there also the "Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarky...Spaaaaaaaaaaaarky....hones tly I dont know why I foookin bother..."
tom Humphries did the interviewer role init. irony of ironies...:D :D
a great time for irish football indeed
post genesis we have regressed
I have it still but have now way of recording it for you. My dvd player is a ps2.
Classic line from McCarthy in Iceland - "Jaaaaason, Jaaaaason ....we're winning 4-2.... keep the fcuking ball..... ya fcuking stupid cnut"[/QUOTE]
No worries stoik, thanks anyway. It was entertaining to say the least. I remember McCarthy booting the hoarding after Keane missed the peno in Romania!
Here is a link to the torrent, there is only a seed up to 50.9% but I am working on getting people to seed

Unlike Mick's mouth there isn't much of a torrent with that file.
I could upload a file called Silent Spring (the Mick Meagan years)
I'm getting about 2MB/hour.
Downloaded 34MB uploaded 38MB
Now it's closed for lunch.
Its a good idea for future reference, when we want to relay Stan's future glory games to the Diaspora. But at this speed the ETA is infinity.
Ah, we finally have a seed.
Cheers worm.
Anybody finished downloading yet?
I have about 87% downloaded now, 65 hrs worth.
But it's picked up a bit of (relative) pace today so I guess there are more seeds.
