I recon we will win it 2-0, taught the lacklustre performance the other night could be because we had one eye on tonight.
Two front men to score:
O’Hara
Peers. Burns. Macky. Foy.
Hughes. O’Grady. Turner. Singh.
Flash McT

Same team as Bravo, Cork have conceded only something like nine goals so far this season. Has nil nil all over it.
still confident about this i think were going to win 1-0
1 nil rovers
free kick Singh
68 minutes.
Cant predict any better than that:D
I'd be delighted with a draw. Cork dont concede many but don't score many either. Prediction, 1-0 to Cork:(.
id go 1-0 rovers with hughes again to score in the 63rd minute with a header! attendance will be about 1,706! will be a bad enuf game with turner and gamble being sent off!
3-1 rovers, cork will score first...flash harpel and foyzer will score...mc namara own goal for them..attendance will be 1957....
We’re the best – Richardson
Damien Richardson insists that Cork City are still the best side in the Premier Division.
The champions have drawn their last five games, leading to suggestions that they have little chance of retaining their title, but the manager is adamant that his charges can turn things around and mount a genuine challenge:
“I still believe we are the best team in the league. If we can get all our players fit and available, we will be able to prove that again.
“The league really starts from here. You don’t win the league in April or May – or even in August. It’s September and October when each game becomes more and more important.
“Derry have a lot of games to play in different competitions and, as for Shelbourne, you don’t know what the situation will be there.
“Those factors, allied to the pressures on each club between now and the end of the season, mean it’s still very open.”

I hate Rico so much:mad:
Dont think its cockiness tbh.More trying to lift spirits. We need some sort of boost anyway, were not scoring, players not looking like they believe they can win games, fans turning against the manager. His job's on the line.
We badly need some positive thinking. I do anyway to lift me out of the depression of recent times. Still dont believe it though
lads don't get too excited but if we win tonight we're up to 3rd...fukcin hell!!!
Some incentive for Sean and the lads isnt it! Plus we are on a great run and Cork arent so it is really the ideal time to play them:) arguably even more ideal than when the original date was but I'm sure sligoman wouldnt agree:)
I wouldnt agree either. Rovers were actually on their best run of the season when the Cork game was rescheduled because of their European fixture. We then went 10 days without a game, lost two in a row before we started to get back on track, plus there was the added loss of revenue. The original Cork game was down as a Saturday night fixture.
sorry if im going of topic, but are there many corkonians coming up tonight??
Ok but Cork were on a better run then than they are and we are on just as good form so we have more chance of winning this game
Well, Sligo play Cork now, after it was postponed in July when Cork beat Limassol, a match you didn't want them to win. :oQuote:

Connor braced for huge game (elevenaside.com)
September 12, 2006
Sligo Rovers boss Sean Connor has billed tonight’s Premier League clash with champions Cork City as one of the biggest games of his managerial career.
The Bit O’ Red currently stand two points ahead of Damien Richardson’s charges and victory would move them further up the table within touching distance of a European qualification place.
Says Connor: “People may wonder why I think this match is more important than the First Division title-winning game last year. But my thinking is simple: win this and we’ve got a great opportunity to put a significant gap between us and Cork.
“I know Cork are more than capable of closing such a gap, but certain games in a season carry a greater relevance than others.
“And this is one. A win here would move us into third spot, give the players a huge boost and give the people of Sligo something to be very proud about.”
Is English or Irish the first language in Sligo?? :confused:Quote:
