Liverpool to challenge start to finish. Newcastle top 5 finish.
Sheffield, Reading and Wigan to go down
especially if steed goes.my top 5
1st-liverpool(have pacey wingers and decent strikers now)
2nd-chelsea(looked a mess last sunday,no obvious game plan except long ball will cost them against the best teams, plus refs might not give them as many jammy goals this season).
3rd-man utd(will push top 2 very close but injury proan strikers(saha, shol, rooney) will mean they might have a few scoreless games thus dropping points).
4th-arsenal(need a centre back and more time for kids to grow up but have a title winning side in 2 years i reckon).
5th/6th-newcastle or spurs(cant decide so either or).
7th-west ham(excellent side but might not be consistent enough for higher placing).
to go down-fulham,sheff utd and charlton.
IF YOU COULDNT DISAGREE MORE PLEASE RESPOND.
Liverpool will disappoint as usual, may finish 3rd if lucky.
Think it's a Chelsea/Man U top two again with Chelsea winning and Arsenal/Liverpool fighting for 3rd and 4th spot. Spurs finish 5th with Wigan to finish 6th.
Portsmouth, Watford and Blackburn to go down.
It will be very close between Chelsea and Liverpool. It is very hard to pick out a weakness in each side. I think that Liverpool will come out on top though as I think Benitez is a better manager than Mourinho.
Man Utd will fail to impress I'm afraid. This has to be Sir Alex's final season.
Arsenal will be stronger than last season. The younger players will have improved as players and have will be more experienced as well. Fabregas is going to have an outstanding season. Player of the year candidate for certain.
Tottenham have a better side than last year I think, despite losing Michael Carrick. Zakora is an outstanding player and £10m will look a bargain. Berbatov will get amongst the goals as well.
Newcastle have a good midfield but that looks like all they have. Maybe if the Michael Owen can produce his old form when/if he comes back from injury. Top 8 at best.
West Ham will push for top 6, as will Everton. I can't see Bolton or Blackburn repeating their performances.
Hard to predict midtable.Code:1 Liverpool
2 Chelsea
3 Arsenal
4 Tottenham
5 Man Utd
6 West Ham
7 Everton
Out of the promoted sides I think Reading have a great chance of staying up and Watford could surprise a few people as well. Sheffield Utd I think are destined for the drop and the 2 other places will be between Charlton, Boro, Watford, Wigan and Fulham.
I think Chelsea will win with Liverpool and Man Utd fighting for 2nd place and Spurs and Arsenal fighting for 4th. That leaves Newcastle getting 6th and a whole host of clubs trying to get the last Uefa cup spot with maybe. I think the relgation teams will be Sheff Utd, Fulham and Watford and possibly Wigan who have lost a few good players.
Arsenal will walk it
Chelsea second
Liverpool Third
Man Utd Fourth
Villa will be this seasons spurs
Quote:
Villa will be this seasons spurs
i said it 6 weeks ago villa will beat arsenal and saturday i will be proved right!
Same top five as last season but perhaps with Liverpool pipping Man Utd to second.
Blackburn and Everton to get other European places and Charlton could be a surprise package.
People seem to be fierce optimistic about Villa and Newcastle, but both have very threadbare squads and will need to do some serious shopping before the transfer window closes. Mid table at best.
Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal in that order. Spurs, Newcastle and Blackburn to fight for UEFA places.
Watford and Sheffield Utd to definately go down along with 1 of Reading, Charlton, Wigan and possibly Fulham or Middlesboro being dragged into it too.
I am going to make a bold prediction & say Chelsea will win the league!
1 Chelsea
2 Arsenal
3 Liverpool
4 Tottenham
5 Man Ure
6 Everton
7 Newcastle
8 Blackburn
9 West Ham
10 Man City
Does the fact that you call them Man Ure influence your thinking behind them finishing 5th then.
No just influences my thinking about how they smell.
Well trying to read your predictions as an objective viewer I would instantly think from readin it that here is a person who does not lke Man Utd so therefore his predictions on Man Utd must be clearly discounted.
Chelsea to win it for the next 5 years and probably further until another sugar daddy buys an even smaller club than chelsea and wins the league with them as the english public begin to realise that their league is a joke and has no connection to the english people and is just a league full of over paid diving foreigners watched by the prawn sandwich brigade.Thank f*ck for our little league over here

Well I do dislike Man U(RE) but I dislike Liverpool (RedSh*te) more. I know a few Man U fans who feel the same way as me about their chances this year. Hardly surprising given the season they had last year and their lack of activity in the transfer market compared to some of their main rivals. Just think they are a team in decline.
And here is another..........

and for what it is worth...........
1. Chelsea
2. Arsenal
3. Man. Utd
4. Liverpool
5. Tottenham
Chelsea will have enough to win it again, especially now that Shevchenko will sort out their attack. I think that Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool will be a way back, battling amongst themselves. Spurs to continue their good form.
United's pace yesterday looked frightening at times, looked like they took a leaf out of the class of 94..... Excellent start to the season for them.
Chelsea won easily but really failed impress, Man City defended like us at times ! no wonder the conceded 3 sloppy and very defendable goals. They will win the title again this year but at a cost i think, to many players with to many big ego's to keep happy.
Liverpool were very poor considering the quality signed during the summer, looked like half of them put the wrong foor wear on thou. Another also ran season for Liverpool.
Arsenal battered Villa for most of the match and were very unlucky not to come away with 3 points. They will get better and better and the season goes on. Chelsea's biggest rivals IMO.
West Ham look lik they could contuine there good form from last season, some good signings from Pardew. Aston will be really missed thou.
