i am ze special one!..... you know it....i know it...everybody knows zis! now lets get down to business sean,.... we would like to swap ze big boy foy in place of the skipper JT! i heard that this deal is going ahead in the summer!!
hows keith foy getting on at sligo rovers? a mate of mine plays for nottingham forest, they were in the academy together and he assures me that foy had more talent than andy reid.
He was in the same academy as Dawson, Jenas , Reid , Thompson etc, they actually thought out of all of these he would be the first to make it,
He did make it and really had the world of football at his feet until he got injured and just didnt get back to the level required. The truely interesting thing about Keith is that while most players would be bitter and twisted bout the opportunities lost, Keith is laid back about it in so far as that as long as he is playing football he is happy. Obviously when the opportunity to move up the footballing scale in this country presented itself, he grabbed it and no one at Monaghan blames him but admires him for his guts to take up the challenge once more. Time will tell but I have every faith that Keith will shine in the Premier Division and once again enjoy a degree of success. Go get em Foyzer!
would he be good enough for an Ireland call up in the next few years?
-I taught Keith done well on sat night, came under some savage pressure on a night when Faz wasn’t at his best! A bit heavy but looks fit, good at set pieces. Should be a great addition.
-What ever Connors said to Jose on Monday worked cause they got a rare result last night!!!!!:)
Not sure The Stars...he had been on standby b4 for the last world cup but not sure if he would make it this time. Hope he does tho! My kids worship him so it would make their life if he was playing for Ireland.

i disagree , why do you say he was never really a serious contender , i didnt see andy reid amongst the reckoning at all for world cup 2002
what im saying is he was never likely to break into the ireland side and make the left back spot his own. he showed promise but never even played for the irish senior side. maybe he was on standby for the last world cup but do any of you really believe he would have been playing?there are loads of players who have been in one or two ireland squads and didn't feature again because they're not international class players.foy never even made it into one squad so how can he seriosly be considered as an international class player?
what i'm saying is that when it was 2002 you couldnt say that no he will never be an international player because he was only 20. im sure no one here would say that stephen ireland will never be an international player because we just dont know which way his career will go
but thats different because stephen ireland is a regular in the premiership and is now a full international. Foy only showed promise at forest foy showed promise but wasn't at the level that stephen ireland is at now.he was unproven.but anyway i don't think we're going to reach an agreement on this one so we'll agree to differ!:D
I didnt say he would make it now...I just said he is very talented. I pointed out that he was almost there a few years ago and that (unlikely tho it is) my kids would b thrilled if he ever did make it coz he is a bit of a hero of theirs. Any of the kids that Foy coached in our Summer camp or the kids who came out rain/hail/snow to watch the Mons over the last season and season b4, adored Foy. As for me being in love with the guy...ha! He is a mate. End of.
