Did anybody hear that Gerry Carr was let go?

Well if he's at the St. John's game, then obviously he's not gone.I'm sure somebody going to that game will let us know.

i beleive that gery carr is definately gone from rovers something to do with talking negative about the players around the town . my source would be very reliable. sorry to bring this bad news. i hope its wrong but my source would be very close to club

It's hard to believe it if true. SC seems to have made a lot of enemies since arriving. He seems difficult to get on well with, hopefully that coaching course he does in England teaches "good people relations":o.

I was hoping this wasn't true - Gerry Carr will definetely be missed - maybe not in terms of his playing ability but he was a good no 2 and seemed to be able to motivate the players.
It also seems likely that Raf will be moving on too - there was a thread on here weeks ago about him swaping for a striker - can anyone remember that one?
I think the club should have some way of letting the public know these things rather than rumour spreading - maybe a job for the PRO?

and i always thought that when sean eventually leaves us Gerry Carr was going to be the next man for the job

When Connor leaves, it doesn't mean Carr wont come back!

No, but we don't know the whole story. Also, SC has had a few run in's with players before, I'm not just talking about the Gerry Carr incident, he's no saint, especially what he done to Ciaran Foley.

The club should be more open with these type of things. Like, according to our website, Carr is still assistant manager!

foley&sean are still very very good friends, foley himself told me that&the whole prank thing wasn't one way, foley took a dump in connor's gear bag. i wouldn't know whether to believe the gerry carr story but if leo tierney is back with rovers it could be sumthin to do with that

Why, did Carr and Tierney have a dispute?:confused:. Also, it was Sean Connor that done something to Foley first, it was a disgusting thing to do and very unprofessional for a manager to do such a thing on one of his players.

Also, theirs been plenty of disputes involving SC-Brian Tosh, Stephen O'Donnell, some other under-age players, Mickey Feeney seems to have disappeared? Now Gerry Carr! Sean Connor is a good manager but his attitude, and the way he treats staff and players is very poor in my opinion.

u mite think it was disgusting but i know ppl who are good friends that have done worse stuff to each other. i don't think it bothered foley too much either.

i've been saying this for a long time.i even started a thread on it before but nobody really agreed with me..presumably because he was doing a good job in that he was getting the results.he is a good manager but his man-management and treatment of people in general leaves a lot to be desired.he thinks he's above everyone.most of the players don't even like him.

heard from the players themself that Foley and Sean get along and there was no malice in anything they done to each other.
on the Gerry carr issue......with rovers now going full time,including coaching staff,id say this is why gerry has left.he may not have been able to go full time due to his other job.

but it says on the club website he moved to just a coaching role
