Guess who will be the surprise inclusion....
With all this granny rule talk going on, only Liam Lawrence possibly and Ronnie O'Brien might be included in the squad, in my opinion....
Any takers for anyone else.......

Ronnie O Brien would not fall under the Granny Rule category if that is what you meant. Sorry if thats not what you meant.
I think
Joey O Brien
Stephen Ireland
Kevin Doyle
Paddy Mc Carthy
Liam Lawrence
will all be in the squad that were not regulars under kerr.
I really hope Lee Trundle gets a call up.
He is injured I think.
I agree with NeilMcD. Joey O'Brien is definitely going to get his first callup. He wasn't called up to the U21's so Staunton must have told Givens to leave him out. Ireland was called up for the U21s so I'm not sure about him. Doyle will definitely keep his place in the squad, McCarthy should regain his place and Lawrence will most likely get called up. I have a feeling there'll be a big suprise callup that most of us didn't even know qualified. :)
The eternal optimist strikes again... :DQuote:

I think Pearce would release him for the Friendly but was probably not too keen on the U21 tournament.
I agree too about the suprise one.

He's played for us at U14 level too. He's only just gone 20 so can still play for us.Quote:

Whats his heritage?...to be honest that would be very exciting if it did happen...youngest ever player to score in the premiership....If Stan did get him it would be some haul. :)
what chance has Ronnie from USA got of being called up!!!!
i certainly dont thinhk he should be discarded out of hand but i doubt his chances.
Liam Lawrence will be deffo in and obrien I would like to see given a run .. Given his current form alan lee will prob get back in the sqaud with elliott injured .. Other than that dont see many surprises ..
i think Lee got injured last night, hamstring i think. he had got 4 in 6 since moving to ipswich afaik.Quote:

Where did you see he played for us at U14 level? I've had a look but could find nothing. Also, I thought now that if you played competitive U21 games that was it, there was no changing country.Quote:

Cheers PP. The problem I have though is that, due to the security settings on my PC in work, I cannot open links to other threads on this site. I can only access the site through www.foot.ie. Could you tell me what the thread title is with the information on Milner and I can then go and find the information on him?Quote:

Cheers. I reckon if I stayed on the internet until this time tomorrow I would not have found that.
Blimey .. if Staunton wants a scout he knows where to lookQuote:
