Lost Series 2 starts on RTE 2 next Monday, best show on TV.
If you can't wait to find out what is in the hatch, I can tell you that it is an electronic polar-bear breeding facility. Spooky or what. ;)

Only two shows holding me at the moment are House and the new series of 24 - Jack's back! :)
Upon further reflection, how dumb was I to believe that??? :D :oQuote:

do what ms dodge did, download about 12 episodes in a row and watch them over a weekend.
Oh and there's 10 more episodes to be aired in the US...
Absolutely no interest in it myself, I'm just waiting for the return of the sopranos
No great interest in it myself but I do watch it as the missus like it. The ten or so episodes I've seen in the second series have been bordering on the ridicuolus at times and very drawn out. Seems to be a general feeling among the people I work with that the novelty of it has worn off now.Quote:

I'm a fan, and I'm really enjoying the second series. I think that the first episode, which will be shown on Monday, is brilliant and the opening sequence is the high-point of the show so far.Quote:

I never realised how shambolic the TV scheduling in America is though. The show started in September, but because of breaks taken etc only 12 episodes have been shown so far, and there is another break this week so the next episode won't be until next week. Ridiculous. I'd say that RTE will only be a couple of weeks behind the US by the time that the series ends.
I don't agree that it is boring now at all to be honest. Series is only half way through, 12 shown and 12 more to go. I know the creators said before the series started that it is all building up to what happens in the last 10 episodes of series 2.Quote:

I download it on Thursday's the day after it is shown on ABC and so far i have only seen 12 episodes, which means there should be 10 more episodes before season 2 ends . season 1 lasted for at least 22 episodes, i also think the show is getting better & better.:)Quote:

That's my fear (not in life but in relation to this show!) that what happened the X-Files will happen with it.Quote:

Watched it last night for the first time.
Utter rubbish, in my opinion.
I expect it is so severly drawn out to compensate for the complete lack of genuine drama.
And while I'm at it, if that bird had her spine shattered and was recovering from such extensive surgery, why was she just lying in a normal bed, totally free to move around?
A little bit of advice to that blonde bird in the jungle, if a dog goes away, they'll usually find their own way back. If something in the jungle eats it, it will probably eat you too. Stay in the cave like a good girl.

not slagging any one who watches it but out of all my mates its the dumber one s that seem to like it
Yes, because that's the part of that scene that's a bit far-fetched (as opposed to paralysed girl recovers after unsuccessful surgery thanks to miraculous intervention of weird Scottish runner bloke with a fondness for the music of the Mamas and the Papas). :DQuote:

Terrific show, IMO, even if there is a tendency to follow the make-it-up-as-you-go-along approach that 24 also uses. You also have the uncertainty of US TV scheduling where they couldn't tell, at the beginning, how long they'd have to tell the story.
This can lead to uneven episodes/plot arcs but I think (well HOPE!) that there is an overriding idea behind the whole thing and we will, eventually, get answers to the BIG QUESTIONS.
Saw just over half of of Series 1 and I thought it was muck.
Im not gonna bother with any of Series 2. But thats just me!

they have the 5 series mapped out, that is how far ahead they are thinking, i got the 1st series when i was in the states last sept and the bonus dvd is great, it gives an insight into the show, how it came about, the making etc.
i love it, i know the script could be better but the story is bril, can't wait for next monday at 10 :)
Am getting a lend of Series 2 Ep 1-9 tomorrow YIPPEE !!!!!

have to disagree with ya there. its mama cass from the mamas and papas - "make your own kinda music"
did anyone read the heralds preview of it on monday? basically gave away most of the storyline for second series. ****in ****.
That must have taken up all of 2 lines of the paper then ;)Quote:

Because so little actually happens. It seems like they're making the story up as they go along.Quote:

Yeah it was useless.
I heard the first 4 or 5 episodes are like that then it starts to get good
if you just look at this thread header with all the other ones.. its looks like... Lost . then with steve staunton underneath i though it was football related :), then i thought no its in offtopics so maybe steve was guest starring in an episode
...anyways.. duno why but i never got into lost at all.normally like those kinds of series.
Oh lord, please bring us the new series of Sopranos soon...
Different perspective, you just feel robbed after waiting a whole week, it was good though!
Missed it can anyone fill me in on what happened??
I also enjoyed it - thought it was a really good episode. I think people get p!ssed off because they keep throwing up more questions instead of answers.

In a nutshell, it showed the events that took place in the same time period of the first episode (1st ep being shown from Jack's perspective). So the aftermath on the ocean with Michael and Sawyer (+ Michael in flashback, not as interesting as some other flashbacks, I suppose) and Locke and Kate's encounter with scary Scottish bloke. Ended on a cliffhanger as Sawyer and Michael get washed ashore back on the island and Jin (who was separated from them after Walt's kidnap) comes running down the beach babbling about "Others". We then see people walking slowly out of the shadows...
Plenty of odd stuff from inside the hatch which will probably mean something eventually - it will be repeated at the weekend some time, best to watch it then.
I've seen Eps 1-9 of Series 2 and trust me its worth watching !
michael has to be one of the worst characters in it. good series tho. I can see how a lot of people on here wouldnt have the smarts like I do, to follow it, but sure there is always emerdale for ye lot.
