That's pushing it a bit though!!
I'd say any two of Brazil, Germany, Argentina.
One of these days Italy and Spain will show the World how good they really are but I don't think it'll be this one.
Ay ay captain but i think the Brazilians will never get too care-free about playing for their country like recent French and Italian teams. Repeat of 02 final for me if they're kept apart.
Brazil V Italy for me if they avoid each other before the final.
Argentina v England or Germany v Argentina
Brazil Vs. Germany if avoided throughout.
I'd say England Germany
Brazil and England if they avoid each other early on....England to win the World Cup!
2 from Czech Rep, Germany, Argentina, or Brazil
Could see Mexico surprising a few people. Maybe Mexico -v- Ivory Coast? Beats going for Brazil, Argentina etc. Hopefully Trinidad will take the cup to back where it belongs:D Anyone see the Ivory Coast v Italy last month? Ivory were unlucky not to win and could well be the dark horses along with Mexico

The two holding players they use are absolute quality. Zakora has been linked with the scum and Arsenal and Yapi Yapo looked great too. A move to a big club awaits for both after the world cup if not in januaryQuote:

If Sven doesn't play a holding midfielder England are going out early. If he does they have a chance. He won't. Seriously, I can't believe England are lower odds than Italy.Quote:

think the final could be the Czechs against the Auzzies or Japan. I've a feeling this World Cup will be full of suprises.
Funny enough having looked at the draw, I have a feeling its the Dutch! And in an equally shocking prediction, I think the Ukraine will go far and make the final. Serbia to make the semi's with Italy.Quote:

Someone mentioned there could be a few surprises at this WC. I think the extent of that would be the likes of the Ivory Coast or Ghana gettin' to the 1/4's. My beans would go on Germany.
Early predictions for the 2006 World Cup:
- it will go down as good one and perhaps one of the best.
- Brasil and England have the best players but not the best teams. Neither to go beyond the semi's.
- Germany will win their group barely and go out in the quarter/semis (any side with Huth as a starting centre back are not betterthan average)
- Italy, Spain, France have alot to improve on and go into it with lots to prove, out of the three Italy have the best of an average chance.
Now on to the quality teams:
- Before the draw I was thinking of an Argentina - Mexico final but I am currently revising this - but both will go far. I will still go with Argentina to win it.
- Netherlands, Czech Rep, and Portugal all have an excellent chance too (in this order).
Think that is about everyone. Sweden and Croatia are possible semi-finalists, I don't know enough yet about Ukraine or Afrikian or Asian sides but I'd say all the usual cliche still hold.
I'll be standing by all this too with my hard earned euros. As others have said Mexico are the most under-valued of all the side and 50/1 is certainly value and as such are my pick to win from a gambling point of view, from a football side I'd can't look past the Argies.
Portugal had their big chance two years ago and, although Greece were better then them in both matches, they should've won it.
Be realistic there lad. The tans haven't a hopeQuote:

You're right. Italy were in that final. But the question asked by Snoop Drog was : When was the last time one of (Brazil Germany , Argentina) didn't make the final.Quote:

And I reckon this time round will be no different-Home advantage counts for alot so I reckon Germany will be there or thereabouts. Brazil never seems to worry about home advantage anyway and, from what I have seen in the last year or so, are gelling together as a team really well.
Argentina were a bit unlucky last time round. I saw the highlights of their game Vs Brazil in WCQ and they played well.
