I think we all would at this stage!
One nil would do me, I can't see a situation arising now where goal difference will come into it.
A win tonight and Friday's result doesn't matter quite so much - might ven be better off having to win vs Derry.
I hate the "draw will do" scenario.
Yeah, I would agree...any win tonight will do, 3 pts and it's still in our own hands.....also, a win tonight would mean shels cannot win the league!:)
SHELS CANNOT WIN THE FÚCKIN LEAGUE!! How many times...
People are just looking at the points and not considering that Cork City and/or Derry will add to their points total on the last day.Quote:

so shels cant win the league.. is that true?
Any win at all tonight will suffice, not winning is unacceptable though at this stage having dropped points to Pats and Wateford.
I'm not too confident about the Shels game so we simply must win tonight.
Yes James, but it would be better for them if Derry won the league and we won the Cup.Quote:

That's the long and that short of it James, yes. ;)Quote:

i find it very hard to beleive that a club as big and important as shels will win nothing all season.. i wonder is there anything oliver could do about it!!
I like this scenario:
2 wins this week = 73 points and at least a two goal advantage over Derry.
Settle back on Saturday and watch Derry begin to grasp the idea of pressure.
Just say, scoreless with 20 mins left - do they go for it and leave themselves open to a breakaway or do they settle for the point and have to win 2 or maybe 3 nil in Cork?
SPA have switched off Jim, their season is over.Quote:

A so-called weak Bohs certainly put it up to us last season and City themselves took great delight in denying Shels a few years back.
jesus this will be a long day. COME ON CITY
I don't think they will lie down, but I think they won't have anywhere near the level of intensity they showed againt us last Friday week.Quote:

Yes they did -they played very well and there is no reason why they can't do so again.
In any case it would be nice to see how Derry react in their first game where they cannot afford to lose!
The weather is supposed to be bad this evening.
Hope it doesn't make life too difficult for us. :(
Dalymount has grass on the pitch & don't think they been grazing cattle there recently like the RSC which should help.
It's raining in Dublin 7 now but not heavily.
The weather has really changed now.
It's windy and wet, just as predicted. :(
city on top after 15 mins.
kearney dropped for billy woods
, Bit of an over reaction there I'd say:pQuote:

neale fenn is the best player in the eircom league
Delighted and relieved at this result. Rod helped us out earlier in the day with his interview, where he said "no way will Cork lift the title". Stoopid toe rag. Statements like that really fire up the lads, I reckon. What a little defendant Rod is.:p
Sorry James, but Cork City have won nothing this season either...
Chickens...Counting...
was there big city crowd at the game?
There was over 200 of us there, I'd say.Quote:
