Looks a certain now that Harps are on the way down. Fingers crossed we will go the opposite way. One player I would like to see coming to Rovers if the above came to pass, would be Kevin McHugh.
What player would you like to sign if we went up?

Robbie Doyle from Pat's(Who may be going down aswell which would help) and Wesley Charles from Bray:cool:Quote:

i wantthem to stay up if we go up,but come down,if the unthinkable happens
I WANT NORTH WEST DERBYS BACK!!!
3 points tonight and as O'Grady said is todays Sun "in our hands to throw away". My prediction is we will go up as Champions 3 points tonight leaves us 5 clear of Cobh, beat them Saturday we are 8 clear and 3 games (9 points) to play for meaning we would only need 1 point against Monagahn on November 4th, which would be like a home gae to us.
All going well (and Cobh have to play DC as well) we will be crowned champions at the Athlone game in the showgrounds...which will be full of irony
Why?
Last time we were promoted it wa against Athlone we did it.
Sean Connors first game in charge was against Athlone .
But why I think it will be the Athlone game...
O'Grady also said in todays paper that he thought someone was looking down on us with some of our luck.
Well that someone I believe is Mark Brindley...
Another reason why i thik it will be ironic if we are crowned official champions against Athlone, Mark before he passed away last year sponsored a Rovers game knowing he would not be here for it.That game is the Athlone game...
my god your sad!!!Quote:

well i suppose your entitled to your opinion!!in my opinion rubbish like that has absolutely no bearing on wheather we win the league or not.it will come down to what we do on the pitch not who sponsored the athlone game etc.ye were going on about similar omens before the cork game about us winning the cup and look what happened there...!Quote:

I know omens or past games have no bearing on the final league table but it's just another way at looking at things. If it does work out as Alan has said then I dont think too many of us will be complaining then;).
A lot of good supporters have passed through the gates of the Showgrounds since 1928, and sadly many have passed away.
Sometimes I wonder about some of the players on the pitch.!!!
Lads, this kind of talk about deceased fans winning the league for us is lunatic material. It’s a good job St Columbus is closed.
Let the dead rest in peace.
Keep it real.

Funny old game football
A truly great way to remember a great fan and servant of rovers, very very coincidental........cheers Mark
I hope there is some official acknowledgement of the significance of the match sponsor :)
Too true gustavo. The trust has dedicated the player of the year trophy to Mark in recognition of his dedication to Rovers and this in some small way will kepp his memory alive....
