He plays for Derry City's under-21 side.
Big lad about 6'4 and quite broad as well.
His Da played for Derry City way back at the start of our LOI days, he was a big Midfielder named Jose and was supposed to have been a Zaire international.
Be interesting if this lad makes it all the way to the senior team.
I wonder how many Father and sons have played international football for different countries?????
Dunno about fathers and sons, but Christian Vieiri's brother Max plays for AustraliaQuote:

Lads, I think the question contained the phrase "different countries"
and, more importantly, for Pats at the same time.Quote:

Jose used to spell his name MOKENDI and was christened Joey McKenzie by Derry Fans to whom he was a folk hero.:D
No that was just how the name was printed in the programme.Quote:

'Mokendi, Makendi, Mukendi etc...
It happened alot during the early days when Derry had quite a few 'non-nationals' in the side.
'DaGama, DeGama,D'Gama'
'Kristic,Krstic etc.etc.......
Yes but your spelling of the name is the correct one for Aleksander Krstic!:DQuote:

I know its not Father and Sons but did Kevin Gallen's brother play for Ireland at some level.
I'm open to correction here but I think he had two brothers that played underage/youth football for Ireland. One of them certainly played U-21 and if I am not mistaken, Joe Gallen who played for Dundalk round about 1996 was one of these brothers. Sorry I'm a bit vague, but I'm working from memory here!!Quote:
