Get well soon RicoQuote:
Cork City manager Damien Richardson has been ordered to rest for a week by doctors after being admitted to hospital with a lung problem.
The Cork City manager went to hospital earlier this afternoon complaining of chest pains which forced him to miss this evening’s Cork game against Bray Wanderers at Turner’s Cross.
Doctors will keep Richardson in hospital overnight for observation and have ordered him to take the next seven days off.
Cork face Slavia Prague in the UEFA Cup next week.
His lungs? Phew, was worried that it might be his heart :o

heard tonight he wont be able to be on the training pitch for about 6 months, but no problem with the rest of his duties, John O'Flynn visited him yesterday and brought him a portable dvd player and a dvd of slavia's game from the other night.

Genuinely shocked when heard the news on friday but releaved when 'just' his lung.
Even had Rovers fan ring me to check on Rico illness rumour. Seems to be universally respected across the league.
How professional is that!Quote:

Rico, take your time and make a full recovery. We need you in full health for our Champions League onslaught next summer. :)
Eh, Rico's a Hoop. Always was and always will be. All you had to see was his salute of the travelling Hoops last time in Turners Cross. He's loved at Rovers - despite his current affiliations. I'd even go so far as to say that the current thawing in relations between us and Cork is mainly down to Rico.Quote:
