Rosenborg are in bad form at the moment and is one of the easier draws if you take all the group 3 teams. Shels had a very good chance of making it to the group stages but the team is in bits this season.

Wouldn't discount Thun. They've beaten Dynamo Kiev and Malmo home and away and we all rememember Basel having a great run a couple of years ago

I still think we are a long way off getting a team through to the group stages unless the draw really fell in our favour.I'll probably regret saying this but i think Cork are the best equipped team at present to make the step but the fact remains that our league isn't good enough.Most players worth their salt are going across the water to play instead of staying at home and most players that come home have failed.Until we can keep our best players here and have proper structures in place at all age levels with proper support from the FAI,the Government & the public we will always struggle.Quote:

Artmedia are the worst team I can ever remember qualifying. Artmedia, Thun, a poor Rosenborg and Rapid Vienna all qualify so far.

This result shows Steaua for what they were, a team we had no reason to be quaking in our boots about. Maybe if we weren't so negative and afraid we could be doing an Artmedia right now.
